Hey everyone! I was brainstorming about some things that I could write about today, and I decided that it would be nice to start a series that will be called “Words of Wisdom.”
Although the posts in this series will vary as far as dates go, when I do post one, I will share either a Bible scripture, an inspiring quote, or maybe even something that I’ve learn and/or God’s showed me to share with you all. It’s pretty much just a series to spread the Good Word and further inspire people to walk with God, and live life to the fullest, in Him.
So, let’s start “Words of Wisdom” off strong with a Bible verse that I think we all need to hear.
2 Chronicles 7:14-15 NIV - 14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 15 Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.
Read that again, and then I’ll get back to you.
You read it? Good! Let’s continue.
What I really want us to pay attention to is what God said for His people to do before He forgives their sin and heal their land:
- Humble themselves; be willing to admit that you need God’s help to be healed.
- Pray; God wants us to tell Him our troubles. He wants to have a relationship with us, and that means that we need to communicate with Him.
- Seek His face; we must be humble enough, in all things, to seek Him.
- Turn away from their wicked ways; repenting for our sins is not just saying the words. God wants to see if our actions will correspond with our words.
I hope you all enjoyed the first addition to “Words of Wisdom.” I’ll see you later!
