Happy Saturday, everyone! Some of you may know that although I got my current betta about 2 weeks ago, I’ve had several bettas before him. Every time we got a new betta, I would draw a picture of them, cut it out, and then tape it on their aquarium stand. Since we’ve always used the same pedestal, I thought that it would only be natural to continue this “tradition” with Peace.
I ended up sketching him today and taping it right next to his tank, flat and face up, and I’m pretty happy with how it came out! Even Goodmommy said that it looks like Peace.
Here is my reference photo that I used in order to do my sketch. It was a super fun challenge for me, and I love using photos to do more realistic drawings.
Right after I taped it down, Peace went to check it out immediately. I don’t know whether he actually knows it’s him or not, but he seemed to really like it, to my slight surprise. But, hey, I’m not complaining, here!
Overall, it’s really nice to draw all of my pets. This way, it will serve as a sense of memory of their lives for me and my family, and it’s one way to show Peace how much we care for him. I truly thank God that Peace is comfortable in his new home and is a bundle of joy for our family.
Question of the Day: Have you ever drawn any of your pets?
Have a beautiful and blessed day, everyone! ✨
