What’s up, peeps! Guess what, y’all–we have officially reached 75 followers–76 including email! YAYYYYY! Before I say anything else, I want to give a huge thank you to you all. It has been less than a year (only 7 months and 2 weeks) since I’ve started The Joys and Trials of a Christian Teen, and we’ve already hit 76. I thank God for continued growth and support from my family and you all. <33
I remember that I said that I would do a special after we hit 75 followers, and so here I am. Posts that are more personalized and allow you all to get to know me better are some of my favorites. Therefore, today I’m going to do a tag called ABCs All About Me where I use each letter of the alphabet to tell you a little more about myself.
I found this idea on someone else’s blog, and I thought it was really great! I ended up changing a few of the tags to make it a little more original, so I hope you all enjoy it! <33
A – Favorite animals
Dogs, swans, dolphins, elephants, and flamingos.
B – Best facial feature — in my opinion
I would say my smile and my eyes.
C – Largest collection
I have a lot of collections, but the largest ones would probably be books–at least 150. What can I say? I love to read.
D – Dessert that I love
Cheesecake is my all-time favorite dessert. I want to have it at my wedding, in the future LOL.
E – Most preferred form of entertainment (books, movies, tv shows, video games, etc.)
It’s a tie between books and video games. But I really love tv shows and movies, too.
F – Favorite soul food
If you are unfamiliar with soul food, it is a type of cuisine that is traditionally prepared by families in the rural south. It’s eaten by people all across the country. My personal favorites are fried chicken, mac and cheese, and cornbread.
G – Greatest decision
The greatest decision of mine is the choice to follow Jesus and become saved.
H – My height
Although I don’t know my exact height, I am approximately around 5’1-5’3. I’ve always been one of the tallest kids in my class.
I – In love with
Reading–there’s nothing like the wonders of a good book.
J – My dream job
An award-winning, published author and business owner.
K – What most people don’t know about me
I accepted Jesus as my savior at the age of 4 in a Sam’s parking lot.
L – The languages I can speak
It’s probably obvious by now that I can speak fluent English LOL. I’ve also been in a Spanish class in Preschool and then again in 6th and 7th grade (Beginner and Intermediate.) My grandfather is Spanish. I’m definitely not an expert, but I’m not necessarily a beginner either. I can also do a little American Sign Language. One of my cousins is in the deaf community, so that really made me want to learn–yay for progress!<33
M – Favorite music genres
I actually have several; number 1 is gospel, then following that would be classical, pop, and jazz. I’m a music lover in general, so I also enjoy music from other cultures, too. I couldn’t image a world without music.
N – Real name
Although I am known as ajoyfulChristianteen or Princess Q on my blog, my real name is Q’Zion.
O – Unpopular opinion
I think vegetables do taste good–most people just don’t season them enough.
P – Personality
I am very godly, intelligent, quiet (but more outspoken once you get to know me), a perfectionist, funny, sometimes serious, artistic, an optimist-realist, responsible, and unique. Laughter is one of my favorite qualities–I’m that one friend who’s not afraid to laugh with you when you do something funny. And maybe laugh at you too, LOL.
Q – Quote I live by
Psalm 27:1 ~ The LORD is my light and my salvationβ whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my lifeβ of whom shall I be afraid?
R – Largest relationship priority (family, friends, etc.)
Honesty. I don’t think that any relationship can be a healthy one unless both people are honest with each other. It’s one of my most predominant values and parts of my personality.
S – Number of siblings
I have 2 siblings–a little brother and sister. As a little extra fun fact, I’m also the oldest in my generation with 6 younger cousins.
T – Favorite television series
To be honest, this varies according to the type of series.
Cooking/baking shows: Cake and Cupcake Wars, Beat Bobby Flay, MasterChef
Animated shows: The Owl House, Amphibia, Big City Greens, LEGO Friends: Girls on a Mission, SpongeBob SquarePants, Miraculous Ladybug
Live-action series: That’s so Raven, Good Luck Charlie, Sam & Cat, Alice (a sitcom from the 70s that Goodmommy watched as a kid. I watched it and immediately fell in love with the show.)
U – Unique quality
Considering that I already know what I want to do as far as my career goes (writer, entrepreneur, after college), I would say that makes me unique. At my age, most teenagers are contemplating what they want to do after school, but I already have a plan for what I want to do with my career.
V – Dream vacation location
I think it would be super cool to go to Hawaii, France, and/or Africa, one day!
W – Worst habit
I honestly don’t have a lot of bad habits, at all–definitely not any of the ones that are harmful for my health. However, one of them would be biting my nails. At one point, I had stopped doing so when I frequently got my nails painted, but now, I prefer to keep them polish-less unless its for a special occasion. That probably has something to do with it LOL. Goodmommy is very supportive in always helping me to make progress towards breaking the habit. I thank God for her.
X – X-rays I’ve had
None. I’ve never broken any bones, before. I guess you could count the x-rays that you get at the dentist’s office, though. In that case, probably about two. P.S. Iβve never had a cavity in my life.
Y – Your comfort movies
Comfort movies are basically feel-good movies that you like to revisit over and over–a favorite movie that makes you feel better when you need a little cheering up. Some of my comfort movies are Overcomer, Finding Nemo, Ratatouille, and the Secret Life of Pets.
Z – Zany memory
One of my zaniest memories was the day my last betta fish before Peace, Joyus, jumped out of his tank during a water change. It’s definitely not a secret, since I’ve written about it before, but it’s definitely a memory that I won’t ever forget.
Giving you all some more “background information” on myself, my interests, and my personality was a lot of fun, and I really hope you enjoyed this post to celebrate this awesome new milestone on my blog.
It truly is a blessing to be able to have this creative outlet to spread the Good Word and every day positivity to you all, and I truly am thankful for this opportunity to spread the love of God.
Have a beautiful and blessed day, everyone! Peace in! π
[…] those of you who never saw that post, I did an ABC, All About Me Tag–and you can view that HERE— where I told you all a little bit more about myself. It was a lot of fun to thank you all […]
