The BEST craft for summer

While it’s always nice to get a break off from school, sometimes it’s difficult to come up with things to do. But what I love about time gaps such as this is that they can increase your creativity, and help you try new things to serve as your entertainment.

Some of you may be wondering what I’ve been doing to spend some of my time during summer break. Yesterday, I mentioned that I got some new Rainbow Loom supplies, including some rubber bands and a hook. But the question still remains; what do I do with them?

Welp, here’s your answer!

Within the past 3 days, I’ve made a total of 12 mini 3D foods out of my rubber bands, all of which I made off of tutorials from the YouTube Channel feelinspiffy, the owner being the original creator of each of these super cute designs. To be honest, these are so fun (and easy) to make that it’s hard to stop once you’ve made it a hobby. Plus, they are so stinking cute!

Believe it or not, at one point I made over 50 of these, all either foods, objects, or characters, but I lost them in a move about two years ago. While I was pretty sad that I lost all of my creations, recently it dawned on me that it gave me a chance to make new “happy foods” that are even better than the first. And summer break is the perfect time to start.

I was a little nervous to get back into one of my old hobbies, since I wasn’t sure if I actually remembered how to use my loom. But I guess looming is one of those things where when you learn it, you’ve got it forever, as it immediately felt as if I never stopped. Thank God that I didn’t have to start from scratch LOL.

Overall, I wanted to post this today for two reasons. First, to show you all that it’s good to use free time as opportunities to use a little creativity. And second, that even when it seems like your work has dissapeared before your eyes, it is never too late to get back up and start again.

Have an amazing rest of your day or night, everyone! I’ll see y’all later! 💖
