We made an Etsy shop for our T-shirt business!

Hey, everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful day!

So, as some of you know, me and Goodmommy have our own t-shirt business. Although we’ve only started recently, business is booming, and we are continuing to grow our audience through family and social media.

However, we questioned what we could do to grow our business; we knew that we needed another platform to give us exposure to a larger audience. That’s when we got the idea to create an Etsy account! Considering that it has a wide-ranged audience with extremely low fees and we can create our own shop to sell our inventory, we thought that this would be the perfect way to take the next step!

If you would like to support our business and check out our shop, please check out our social media platforms down below.

Keep in mind that while anyone can look at our social media accounts and our products, you must get the permission of a parent or guardian who is over 18 years of age to order one of our shirts. It’s super exciting to see our Etsy shop officially up-and-running, and I am so excited to see our business continue to exceed our expectations.

Have a beautiful and blessed day, y’all. See you next time! ✨

3 beautiful dresses for 1 blessed girl

Don’t get me wrong, I love a good pair of sneakers with leggings or overalls and a t-shirt. But that doesn’t mean that I don’t like to get all dressed up once in a while, too. While I do have a large amount of dresses in my closet, almost half of them are too small. What must I saw~I’m a teenager. We grow both mentally and physically.

Lately, we’ve been getting more involved in church, and it’s been so long since we went shopping for some church attire, or any formal clothing, for that matter. While Goodmommy was out today, she bought 3 beautiful new dresses for me, and I CAN’T WAIT to wear one of them next Sunday.

I love specific elements of each dress, so I’m thrilled to share my opinions with you.

1 ~ Sky Blue with Bows

Even though I love all of my new dresses, this one might just be my favorite. The color is a really pretty sky blue with this texture along the hemline and the bottom of the sleeves, both of which are topped with an adorable bow. Something about this color just stands out to me. And although the dress is fairly simple, the small details tie everything together is such an elegant way.

2 ~ Teal with Ruffled Shoulder

The next dress is a greenish-blue or teal color. It has these slightly ruffled shoulders and coordinating ruffles along the bottom. This one is probably the most plain, however I know the whole thing will pop once I pair it up with some jewelry. Overall, I’m excited to try on this dress: I think it’ll look really gorgeous, once I try it on!

3 ~ Navy Blue with Rhinestones

I absolutely adore the design in the middle. But to be fair, I love almost anything with a heart on it LOL. The rhinestone really shine and stand out. Plus, the navy blue is similar to the color of my birthstone, which makes me love this dress that much more.

Overall, each of these garments were great new additions to my closet, and I’m so thankful to God and to Goodmommy for these beautiful dresses. Look out for pictures of me wearing them in future content!

Question of the Day: Which of my dresses (from this post) do you like best? Feel free to comment down below.

And that’s all for today, everybody! I’ll “see” you next time! 👗💖👗

We’re Business Owners ~ T-shirt Galore

What’s up, everybody? I have a question; have you ever wondered what it’s like to have your own business? There are a lot of small businesses in many communities, which probably includes yours. It’s National Mom and Pops Business Owners Day, and to celebrate I think it’s a great idea to talk about being an entrepreneur.

Although it can be a lot of work, being your own supervisor can be extremely rewarding in more ways than one. About a month ago, me and Goodmommy decided to start our own business in the textile industry. We customize t-shirts, cups or vases, cards, paper, and a variety of other mediums.

So far, it has been such an amazing experience to spend time with my Goodmommy and work with fashion and design. Not to mention that’s it’s good practice for when I open my own business, one day.

Today I’m going to show you guys some photos of the shirts (and other projects) that we’ve completed. Let’s get this party started! ✨

One of my favorite parts of the designing process is staging the t-shirts for a photo after we’ve finished making it. We often use clothes from our wardrobe to give our audience an idea of what they could wear to match with each shirt. The pictures end up looking so fashion-forward, in the end.

Goodmommy and I love to show off our shirts whenever we go out (and at home, too.) For the most part, we get plenty of compliments on the sweet sayings. But to be fair, who doesn’t like a good t-shirt? They’re simple, convenient, and they can make a statement–literally.

All of our shirts are inspirational or uplifting in some form. Many designs are pertaining to our faith, to encourage others who buy our shirts, as well as those who read them. Surrounding yourself with positivity, especially on your clothing, can be very helpful when you need some motivation.

I know, I know. I did say that we do other projects, too. While shirts and t-shirts are our main products, we have been practicing some other projects, too.

For example, here is a craft that we did earlier today. We designed these gorgeous paper flowers for the first time. Although it took a little while to assemble all three, they were super fun to make and great for decoration and other possible projects, in the future.

I hope you all enjoyed taking a look at some of the products that we’ve made to celebrate the many small business owners who try to spread positivity in their communities around the world. The best thing about having your own business is that it isn’t even “work.” When you create a company that you love, you are doing what you love, with the ones you love, every day.

If you are interested in any of our products at Royal T Custom Designs or you would like to see some more of our inventory, please visit our Instagram business page @ladytarilyn_jenkins. You must be 18 years or older to order, so if you are under 18, please order products ONLY with the permission of your parent or guardian. Thanks!

Have a beautiful and blessed day, y’all. See you next time! ✨

The Beauty of Jewelry

Exodus 35:22 NIV (New International Version)
All who were willing, men and women alike, came and brought gold jewelry of all kinds: brooches, earrings, rings and ornaments. They all presented their gold as a wave offering to the Lord.

Jewelry has many different purposes: a representation of our faith, our culture, our family history, our relationships, our sense of fashion, and the list goes on. In the Bible, it was even used as an offering to the Lord.

One of my favorite things about jewelry is that it doesn’t have to be super extravagant or flashy. Jewelry can be as simple as a chain or as elegant as a thick beaded necklace. Even the smallest piece can enhance an outfit by adding the small but sweet “cherry on top.”

Considering that Goodmommy has her own jewelry business, she is always super sweet when she shows me the jewelry that she’ll know that I’ll love (that’s just how well we know each other.) It’s amazing how even a small necklace or simple earrings can tie a whole outfit together and make even the most casual attire elevated with elegance. Plus, it’s another way of displaying our love for God, and as followers of Christ, it’s important that people can see the Lord in us as His examples. I have my own jewelry box in my room to keep everything organized.

This short-and-sweet post dedicated to National Jewel Day was a joy to write. Me and my family love jewelry for more reasons than one, and I thank God that we can use jewelry (in a tasteful manner) to give Him glory.

Question of the Day: Which type of accessory do you like the most (rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, etc.) Feel free to comment down below. (P.S. my personal favorite would be both necklaces and earrings :))

Thanks so much for reading! Have a beautiful and blessed day, everyone! 💎

My *colorful* headband collection

So, for my virtual public schooling, I usually have (at least) one Zoom class every day. On Monday, both my electives and one of my main courses from Tuesday to Friday. I really enjoy them, because they give me a chance to interact with my classmates and look good while doing it.

I’ve been absolutely obsessed with my headbands for a little while now. Since most of them were multi-colored, I asked Goodmommy if she could get any single-colored head wraps for me. And, of course, she delivered! Thanks, Goodmommy. :)) ❤️

And now that I look at my growing collection of head wraps, I realize that it’s getting pretty big! That’s when I knew that it would be a fun blog post idea.

Here’s a short and sweet look at my *colorful* headband collection.

First up are my Top&Top Kotted Headbands. The intricate designs are so detailed, and the color choices are spectacular. What I really love is the fact that you can mix-and-match the headbands with your outfits. They’re really comfy, too.

Slideshow #1 (please press the arrows to see each headband individually)

The next ones are made by the same company, but they are unknotted with stretch elastic in the back—the part that goes around the back of my head. The patterns on this set kind of remind of different cultural patterns, for some reason.

Slideshow #2 (please press the arrows to see each headband individually)

Second to last are my Knotted Louis Vuitton headbands. I adore the simplicity of these designs. They can go with a multitude of colors and aren’t super detailed or complicated. Sometimes, that’s just what my outfits need.

Slideshow #3 (please press the arrows to see each headband individually)

And last, but not least, are the single-colored headbands that I was blessed with today. There are 5 in a pack (2 black, 1 grey, 1 dark blue, and 1 red.) I really wanted these so that I could match them with multi-colored outfits. Sometimes, all an outfit needs is one neutral color to tie it all together.

As you can see, I have a lot of headbands. However, I love them all. They’re simple, chic, and they allow me to be creative. And what is fashion without creativity?

Have a beautiful, blessed day everyone! See you next time! ✨

Celebrate American Heart Month by wearing your red!

Believe it or not, the most common reason for women’s deaths in the United States is heart disease. It’s also the leading cause of death for black and white women in the United States. Even during the pandemic, heart disease is actually higher on the top 10 causes for American women’s death than COVID-19. Surprising, I know.

It is for this cause that February is also known as American Heart Month. And you might want to know how you can do your part.

Tomorrow is National Wear Red Day, where we can all come together and wear something red–whether it be a red shirt, red lipstick, red gloves, a red purse, etc.–to spread awareness and honor the many women (and men) who have passed away due to heart disease, as well as support the American Heart Association’s stride to reduce these statistics.

And the great thing about this movement is that we can still make a difference by simple acts, one being wearing red. While tomorrow is the official National Wear Red Day, if you want to show extra support for women’s heart health, you can even wear red (or something red) all month as a tribute to American Heart Month.

You can even shop at an online store called ‘Go Red for Women,’ owned by the American Heart Association, to buy your red clothing and accessories and donate as support toward the great cause. It’s amazing how we, as citizens, can truly make impacts in our communities, while getting fun items to support our health.

Also, if you would like some health tips for how you can keep your heart healthy, feel free to press this link.

So go ahead! Wear your red! Spread awareness for American Heart Month and women around the world!

Have a beautiful and blessed day, everyone! 💖

This or That #6 – Fashion Edition

Hey, y’all! Welcome to a new episode to one of my series — This or That. ✨

Just in case you are new, in this series I provide a list of this or that (item vs. item) questions about either random topics or the one of my choice. Today, we’ll be discussing all things fashion! Feel free to tell me your answers to each question, down below.

Let’s get started, fashionistas! ✨

1.) Silver 💎 or gold 💛?

Whether I wear silver or gold jewelry depends on what outfit I’m wearing. Both can be beautiful accents to tie an outfit together. But my go-to would be silver, since it goes with every color and you can wear it during any season. Gold doesn’t look cohesive with every color scheme, so the times that I can wear it are limited. Also, my nameplate (or my necklace in the shape of my name) is silver, so I tend to go for accessories that will match—most of which are also silver.

2.) Jumpsuit or romper?

Technically, a jumpsuit and a romper are the same thing, except a jumpsuit has pants and a romper, well, shorts. At this time–also called winter–I will say that I would prefer a jumpsuit. They are extremely cozy and a fantastic option if you want to wear a one-piece that doesn’t show too much. I prefer to wear rompers in the summer and spring.

3.) Sandals 👡 or sneakers 👟?

I must admit that I’m a sandal girl, primarily due to the comfort factor. I have about 10+ pairs of sandals (some bedazzled, some leather, some elastic) in my shoe collection, and I’m absolutely obsessed with them! They’re so comfortable and easy to put on, yet sandals are the perfect mix of casual and classy to go with any outfit. Well, except for those that go between your toes. Then…not so much, lol.

4.) Low or high boots 👢 ?

While both are cute, I will say high boots. Particularly knee-high boots. They’re chic and can make an outfit look sophisticated and elegant, or more playful and casual. While I love knee-highs, any type of cute boots are good, in my book.

5.) Backpack purse 🎒 or crossbody purse 👝?

To me, there’s no comparison here. I love a good crossbody. The diagonal line that they create when worn are like the bow on top of a Christmas gift. Crossbodies make looser clothes look more form fitting and are great if you have a more casual sense of style. Besides, they prevent me from misplacing anything. In short, they’re convenient.

I had a lot of fun adding a new addition to one of my favorite series. I’m curious about what your answers to each of these fashionista questions are. Maybe we had some alike. I would love if you comment down below your thoughts to one or all five of these this or that inquiries!

Here is a link to the rest of the series if you’d like to see more.

Thank you so much for reading! :)) Have a beautiful and blessed day, everyone! See you later! ✨

It’s Church Day! | To God Be ALL of the Glory

Today is Sunday, also known as church day! I must admit, it had been a while since me and Goodmommy had attended a church service outside of the house. Don’t get me wrong, we still listen to God’s Word (usually with our own Bible studies as well as YouTube teachings) and communicate with Him every day. However, ever since COVID hit, we’ve been staying at home for pretty much every occasion except necessary errands.

But me and Goodmommy know that fellowship is a form of worshipping the Lord, and we think that it’s about time to get back in to the groove of attending church to fellowship with other believers and continue to learn the Word of God,

This was my very first drive-in church service ever, and it happened to be at my great-grandmother’s (Goodmommy’s mother’s) church, but I really enjoyed it! I love praise and worship, and this method of service allowed me and Goodmommy to give God all of the praise without having to put our masks on or get too close to others.

In service, we were given a challenge to read the book of Ephesians, which will help us learn and identify our spiritual inheritance. In other words, it will help us recognize what God does (spiritually) in us when we are born again, in Him.

Here are a few pictures that me and Goodmommy took of each other after returning home, following the church service. We wanted to wear something that was classy, but not too fancy (since we barely went out of our automobile.) It’s important to both of us that we let God’s light shine through us, from the inside out.

Although my eyes were squinted in most of the pictures due to the sunlight, the pictures still came out great! (Thank God)

I hope you all had a great day fellowshipping with your family and possibly with your brothers and sisters in Christ. Remember that God deserves ALL of the praise. This is the day that the Lord has made. We should forever rejoice and be glad in it!

Have a blessed day, everyone! ✨

Picture Post + I got a late Christmas gift!

Hey, everybody! Happy Tuesday to you all.

You might’ve already checked out the other post on my blog where I shared what I got for Christmas of 2021. For the most part, I’ve been using my remote control car and making a lot of art with my new supplies. However, I hadn’t worn any of the clothing that I received yet (which included a winter tracksuit, a few scarves, and one of my favorite gifts of last year, the multi -colored top that I was able to wear today.)

Here’s a few — or maybe a lot, lol — of pictures that I took this morning, before me and Goodmommy left the house. We usually message our pictures to each other, and when I did so today, I told her that I basically took a mini photo shoot! I must admit though, the pictures did end up coming out pretty great.

Another thing that I mentioned on my Christmas haul was a gift that I hadn’t received yet, and that was a beautiful soft pink comforter. I had been anticipating getting a new one since I got my own room, so I was so thankful when I found out that it would be one of my late Christmas gifts. And guess what! It came in the mail today.

As soon as I came home, the first thing that I did was set it up! Well, after I took some pictures of how my bed looked with the other comforter. While I really love the original, as well, I’m thankful that I was able to get an additional one. Now, I will be able to switch from one to another when I want to switch it up a little. I thank God for all of the blessings that He has placed in my life!

I wanted to save one of my favorites for last. I also did a post where I showed the gingerbread houses that Goodmommy and I made in early December (of 2021). This is a really beautiful picture that we took before we started filming. The whole process was super fun! Family time is always to be cherished!

And that’s all I have for you all, today! Thank you so much for stopping by. If you enjoyed this post, please like it and follow my blog, if you have yet to do so.

What’s your favorite Christmas gift? If your answer is an item, which ones have you used the most?

Have a blessed day, everyone! ✨

Pearls are ALWAYS Appropriate

Pearls are ALWAYS Appropriate

-ajoyfulchristianteen 🤍

What is fashion without the jewelry? Accessories are beautiful tools to help enhance our inner and outer beauty, and that includes what we wear.

While all types of gems can be just as becoming, there is one in particular that simply CANNOT be replaced! Pearls! And since today is National Wear Your Pearls Day, there’s no better time to discuss these delicate beauties!

Pearls are a symbol of wisdom, good fortune, femininity, long life, and elegance. Basically, all the good stuff in a nutshell…or an oyster, in this case, lol.

What I love about pearls is that they can go with absolutely anything, from a fancy prom dress to a simple tee with jeans. They never go out of style, and are a classic edition to any outfit!

Pearls are unique for many more reasons then their delicate appearances. They are the only gems known to men that come from living organisms. Not to mention that natural pearls are one of the most rare jewels in the world!

Fact Pearl-fection

For more information about pearls, here are a few interesting articles!

I hope you all enjoy some of your pearls today, and/or blessed someone else with some. Jewelry allows us to express ourselves and our unique style. So never be afraid to rock some pearls!

Have a beautiful, blessed day, everyone! ✨
