5 Mental Health Tips for the Holidays

Hello, everyone! My name is Q’Zion, and welcome to The Joys and Trials of a Christian Teen. It’s officially December, and we all know what that means; the Christmas season is finally here! And while the spirit of Christmas is in the air as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, many people find themselves more susceptible to stress and even depression during this time of year.

Let’s face it; everyone wants to feel great inside and out throughout the year, but even more so during the Christmas season. And we can all do that; all it needs is a little bit of work and preparation, and we’re all good to go! Today, I will be sharing my top 5 tips for maintaining mental wellness during the holidays. Let’s get started!

Maintain an ‘optimist-realist’ mindset.

The Christmas season is such a beautiful time of year; especially when it is Jesus’s birth that we are celebrating. And I believe that in our hearts, we all want every holiday season to be better than the last. And is it a good thing to maintain that holiday spirt? Absolutely! But we must also be sure to be realistic about our limits and those of the ones that we love as we work to throw huge family gatherings at the end of the year. This year my not be exactly like the last. People and families change. And financial situations and traditions might, as well. But as long as we keep both the optimism and the realism during this time of year, our holiday season will likely be the best one yet.

Exercise daily and maintain a healthy diet.

I know, I know. You’ve probably read this only a thousand times, and would like to do nothing more than to skip to the next heading. But a huge part of the reason why many people feel stressed or depressed around this time of year is because they aren’t putting the work in to keep their body and minds healthy. As little as 30 minutes of exercise a day (even something as simple as yoga, walking, or hiking) as well as incorporating the necessary vitamins and minerals into your diet with fruits, vegetables, dairy, grains, and protein can cause a boost in your energy and sanity.

Besides, most of us will enjoy a nice break from our diets on Christmas Day, anyway. Just remember, when we do have a craving for something sweet or savory, what matters most is that we eat everything in moderation. ;))

Plan ahead.

What gets most people into a stressed crunch before Christmas and New Year’s Day arrive is they wait until the last minute to buy gifts, prepare Christmas dinners, and put up festive decorations around their home. But in reality, that can only hype up the stress when Christmas is only one or two weeks away. Do yourself and your family a favor by planning a grocery list, putting up most of your decorations for the year, and buying gifts while sales are still here. If you do, it is sure to help your peace of mind, and your wallet.

Volunteer.

One of the best parts of Christmas is that it gives us all another opportunity to look out for one another–meaning ourselves, our families, and those in our communities. God loves a cheerful giver, and if you have the means to give, a great thing to do would be to donate your time and/or money towards an organization that you support. Most of us are blessed by God to be able to afford a fairytale Christmas (or as close to it as we can get.) But everyone doesn’t have that luxury. And it’s important in both God’s will and the spirit of Christmas that we give back to the people and communities that have given to us.

Create a personal budget.

Budgets. Are they most people’s favorite word? Probably not. But are they a weight off of our shoulders during the Christmas season? You bet! This tip kind of goes hand in hand with #1, just because creating a budget requires us to tap into that ‘optimist-realist’ mindset that we discussed.

Sometimes, as much as we want something (for ourselves and/or those we love) it’s important to be realistic with ourselves in how much we can give. So, whether your budget is 50 or 500 dollars, this holiday season, remember that the true meaning of Christmas has no monetary value. Or in other words, a million gifts cannot replace the love that we share during this time of year.

While we cannot control everything that life brings, we can maintain faith in God’s plan for us and do all the preparations that we can for Christmas Day. And I hope that with these tips, your Christmas season will be the utmost merry and bright! Please comment down below some of your productive tips for maintaining mental wellness during this time of year. I would love to hear from you!

Have a beautiful and blessed day, everyone! God bless you all and I’ll see you next time! Peace in! ♡

Thanksgiving Recap | 2022

Hey, everyone! My name is Princess Q’Zion, and welcome to The Joys and Trials of a Christian Teen! I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving, which depending on where you live, may or may not have been yesterday! It recently dawned on me that I hadn’t even posted any Thanksgiving-themed posts on my blog, this year. And since Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday (after Christmas and my birthday) that’s going to change today.

I decided to write a Thanksgiving recap by listing what I did to spend Thanksgiving of 2022. So, without further ado, let’s get started!

1. Said a Thanksgiving prayer. Like we do every night and everyday before we leave the house, me and Goodmommy said a prayer thanking God for some of the things that we are thankful for during Thanksgiving afternoon. And I just have to say that the weather was absolutely perfect.

2. Celebrated Goodmommy’s birthday. Yes. Yes Goodmommy’s birthday is on Thanksgiving, which is like one of the best birthday’s ever (after Christmas, that is.) The only place we went to yesterday was my family’s house, but the day before I bought her two pairs of tennis shoes along with some Happy Birthday balloons. Goodmommy really appreciated all of her gifts, and I was so grateful to be able to make her b-day the best one yet!

3. Caught up with family. Like every major holiday of the year, I spent Thanksgiving at my great-grandmother’s house. And while I see Bigma all the time, it had been about a year since I’d seen my little cousins. I probably could have taken so many more photos, but being around family makes your devices a lot less important. But honestly, I think that’s just how the day was supposed to go.

4. Eat some soul food (and dessert). While Goodmommy had made some chicken and veggie soup the night before Thanksgiving–which smelled and tasted SO GOOD–I didn’t end up actually eating some until Thanksgiving night. At Bigma’s house, I had a plate of mac and cheese, yellow rice, and a couple of Bigma’s meatballs (which are that one thing that I make sure to have every holiday; they’re the best.) I topped off my meal with a piece of vanilla cake, and I ended up having a second slice about an hour later. There was also some apple pie, but I loved the cake so much that I forgot to have a slice. Although I don’t usually eat that type of food (only on special occasions) I had a great time eating my favorite soul foods.

5. Watched a party game. Some of my family members enjoyed the evening with a game called The Upside Down Challenge. It’s where you have to wear these funny glasses that turn your view upside down (so peoples’ heads are facing downwards) and you have to try to do simple tasks with them on. Some examples were drawing a star or crushing a cup with your foot. As the ambivert I am, I preffered to just sit down and watch. But I enjoyed seeing my family members have a fun time.

6. Recounted my blessings. At the end of the day, Thanksgiving stays true to its name. Yesterday was a time for me to thank God for his sacrifice on the cross, and everything that He has blessed me with. And if you ask me, that was one of the highlights of the entire day.

I hope you all enjoyed seeing how I spent this year’s Thanksgiving, and I pray that you all had one that was just as wonderful! And please don’t forget to begin putting up your Christmas decorations–now that Thanksgiving Day of 2022 is over, the Christmas season has arrived. Please let me know in the comments, what was your favorite part of this Thanksgiving? I would love to hear from you!

Have a beautiful and blessed day, everyone! God bless you all, and I’ll see you next time! Peace in! And don’t forget that truly, everyday is Thanksgiving! ♡

My favorite aspects of autumn ♡

Hey, y’all! This is Q’Zion, and welcome to my blog, The Joys and Trials of a Christian Teen! ♡

Spring, summer, fall, and winter. The four seasons. Each one is unique in their own way; their own special events, holidays, traditions, and other characteristics that make up 1/4 of each year. While I love each one for their own reasons, autumn and winter have always had a special place in my heart. And since we’re practically in the middle of fall (already, I know) I want to explain some of the reasons why autumn is one of my favorite seasons. So without further ado, let’s get this party started!

1.) Warm and cozy colors

There’s something about medium green plants transforming into gorgeous orange, golden rod, and burgundy leaves as they float to the ground that’s so satisfying. All seasons have an aspect of nature that makes them unique, but the eye catching colors of autumn make the season stand out like no other.

2.) The spectacular weather

For me, warm weather is the least desirable weather to have. I mean, I’d rather be a little chilly than sweaty and uncomfortable, do you know what I mean? And while I love summer and winter, with both of those seasons, you either get one or the other side of weather. But when autumn comes around, the temperature is the perfect combination. Not too hot. Not too cold. Just how I like it.

3.) That homey reading atmosphere

By now, it’s no secret that I’m a big fan of all things literature. I’ll do it just about any place, at any time of the day, and obviously in any season. But there’s something about fall vibes that makes me want to read even more. And any bookworm who has spent a fall night cuddled up on the couch with their favorite snack and a comfort novel knows what I mean.

4.) One of my favorite holidays – Thanksgiving

I wouldn’t be the same person if it wasn’t for my awesome family. And during the holidays at the end of the year, we always partake in the tradition of having family gatherings, as often as possible. Thanksgiving is the perfect opportunity for me to recap what and who I’m thankful for and blessed with, eat mouth-watering food, and do all the other autumn things I love with the people I love. There’s not many things in this world that are better than that.

5.) Photography is thebomb.com

Photography is one of my other hobbies that I don’t talk about as often, but I adore taking photos of sceneries, especially in the afternoon or just before a sunset. And if we’re being completely honest, autumn’s gorgeous colors makes it the perfect time to go on a photography splurge.

6.) The yummy food

Technically, the comfort of fall horderves goes hand-in-hand with Thanksgiving, but I still wanted to include it because autumn is certainly not the same me without them. I mean, who doesn’t enjoy eating a soup, a piece of turkey, or a pumpkin pie on an autumn afternoon? (Seriously though, I’m super curious!) Autumn food is definitely another thing that makes fall like no other.

7.) Napping paradise

As I mentioned earlier, the weather in autumn is as close as it could get to perfect. The sun isn’t usually out too early (or too bright, when it does peek out from the clouds) which makes it easier to take a power nap or sleep in without feeling like you’ve missed out on half of a day. And since I’m homeschooled, I take quite a bit of naps, so that’s a bonus!

8.) Simple and chic fashion

When it comes to fashion, I am all for finding outfits that are both stylish and comfy. And from classic cardigans to knee high boots, there is so much wiggle room to play with when it comes to autumn fashion.

9.) The decorations

From pumpkins, to candles, to fairy lights, to throw pillows, there are so many creative yet comforting ways to decorate for fall, both on the inside and outside of our homes. I think that autumn decor is the perfect way to set that homey, timeless vibe inside your home, which is perfect not only for fall, but also the preparation for the transition into winter.

10.) Being outdoors

When it comes to autumn, doing any fun fall activity outdoors just makes my day. There’s so much to do this time of year that it’s hard to make an excuse not to go outside. And with the awesome aspects of fall (many of which I have mentioned in this list) it’s kind of hard to do nothing when there’s so much fun we can have right outside our door.

Most of the time, it would take longer posts like this a little while for me to configure. But when it comes to fall, there is so much to love that it’s easy to find reasons why it’s so amazingly great! Please tell me YOUR favorite season(s) down below in the comments? Also, what’s your favorite aspect of autumn and/or the season that you like the most? I’m looking forward to everybody’s responses!

Have a beautiful and blessed day, everyone! Don’t forget that regardless of what you may be going through, we are all beautiful and wonderfully made. And that’s something we can all be thankful to God for! Peace in, y’all! ~ Q’Zion ♡

Just Me . . . Having the Best Birthday Ever!!!

As I mentioned in my last post, a special day was right around the corner that I wanted to share with you guys. And that special day was (drumroll, please) my birthday! I know that I say this every year, but me and Goodmommy had such a blast, and I still can’t hush up about how hyped I am.

Even though birthdays come back every year, they’re a really big deal. It’s not just a day about you, but also a celebration of the beautiful and wonderful gift of life that God has blessed us with. Life has it’s ups and downs for everyone, but the fact that we are still breathing is a blessing within itself. In reality, every day is worth celebrating.

Sending time with Goodmommy is always a blast, and I want to share how we spent our special day with all of you, as well! Okay, enough of the chatter, now! My 2022 birthday post is a go!

Our first stop was probably one of my favorites out of the whole day; and it was only just beginning! We decided to stop at Claire’s to do something that we’ve been talking about for years–getting my second ear piercing! And considering that Claire’s has been known for piercing ears for decades—or 40 years, to be exact—we thought it would be a great place to get the job done.

I actually got my first ear piercing when I was a few months old, so I obviously don’t remember anything from that experience–though Goodmommy’s retelling of my baby-self’s reaction always makes me giggle. As a result, I never knew how it felt to get your ear’s pierced before my birthday, so I was naturally a little nervous. But considering that I handle shots so well, I knew that this was going to be a walk in the park.

Despite our original plan to get the silver cross, we decided to get a stainless-steel star after the reccomendation to get a smaller earring. And I immediately fell in love with the results–it’s small, sweet, and simple. I can’t thank Goodmommy enough for getting me my second piercing! In fact, I loved it so much that I may even get another one, in a few years.

Before we left our house, Goodmommy shared with me that she was contemplating taking me to a surprise destination for my birthday celebration, and I was over the moon to find out that it was Barnes and Nobles–my favorite bookstore.

If you’re a frequent visitor of my blog, you already know how I feel about books. And what I really appreciate about Barnes & Nobles is they’re variety–not only with the genres of their books, but with the types of items that they sell, too! As soon as I saw on a sign that the Young Readers’ section was upstairs, we took a ride on the escalator and searched around the entire second floor.

After a few minutes of searching, I finally found the section in question, and I couldn’t have been more excited by the shelves of novels that stood before me. I really love how this section in particular had literature that varied from pictures books to upper-middle grade, which makes it appropriate for a large range of ages.

We ended up purchasing three awesome novels–one of which was a graphic novel–for about ten bucks each. Another one of them was on my TBR (or to be read) list for this year, so I was super grateful for the opportunity to finally read it! Oh, and don’t worry, y’all; I’ll be posting all the book reviews for each one soon. ;))

So, I’m a firm believer that birthday’s don’t have to break the bank. But a simple piece of cake is always nice. And that’s why our next stop was no other than The Cheesecake Factory. Now, in case I’ve never mentioned this on my blog, cheesecake is one of my absolute favorite desserts, and we hadn’t had a slice for like, two years. So as anyone would assume, I was greatly anticipating eating a slice.

Me and Goodmommy are on a health journey, so it was a little shocking–to say the least–to see the amount of calories in a slice of each cheesecake. Seriously though, one slice is like half of the calories for the day! And although all of the options looked absolutely delicious, we both decided to stick with the classics–a slice of Cheesecake Factory’s original cheesecake.

After we saw the fact that it was a full house inside the restaurant, we decided to eat our delicious treats in the car. But I didn’t mind, at all; we had a close up view of the entire food court section of the mall!

To all of the cheesecake fans who don’t think they’d like the plain original, I’ve got to press the fact that The Cheesecake Factory knows what they’re doing. The piece of cheesecake had the perfect amount of sweetness, and the soft texture of the cream cheese melted in your mouth with the perfect serving of sour cream to eat with every bite. What can I say? If you’re looking for a tasteful—and delicious—dessert with fewer calories, the Classic is probably the way to go, in my opinion.

While that sweet surprise was absolutely delicious, we wanted to work off some of those calories. So we ended up making our last stop at Celebration Station, which is this amusement park full of rides (go-karts, water karts, roller coasters, etc.) and an arcade.

After entering the building, we decided to buy a couple hundred coins and explore the arcade. It was actually my first time ever visiting this place, so when I looked it up and saw the booming reviews, I was really anticipating exploring. And trust me, it didn’t disappoint!

What I find so captivating about arcades are all the bright lights. As someone who’s naturally attracted to colors, I got excited by seeing the games. There were so many games to play. And I have to admit that most of them are super addicting!

One of the first games that I played was a massive claw machine that was full of large bags of 5,000 tickets. I tried it about three times, and I got a good grip on all three tries. But as always, the grabber didn’t seem like it was strong enough. Boy, I would’ve really loved those tickets; just imagine the prices I could’ve won.

After about a half hour of exploring, we decided to check out the additional games located upstairs, and Goodmommy’s eyes lit up when she spotted two huge pool tables. She’s told me several times how she used to play pool years ago, but I never had the opportunity to play pool with her. That is, until my birthday.

At first, I was struggling with getting a good grip on the pool stick, but eventually I got the swing of it, and I was able to hit the balls. Practice makes improvement!

But honestly, seeing how happy it made Goodmommy to play a game of pool with me is what really made it all worthwhile. Just look at her!

Finally, here’s a quick selfie of me to get a closer look at my outfit. Goodmommy did such an awesome job on my hair, didn’t she? She really made me feel special on my special day, and I am forever grateful to her for that.

I have to admit that this birthday was genuinely the best that I’ve ever had. Sure, I say that every time my b-day arrives, but my 2022 celebration is going to be hard to beat. I thank God for letting me and my Goodmommy having such a blast! I hope we get to make many, many more blessed birthday memories together, for many, many, many, many, many more years to come!

What are some of your favorite that you’ve done on your birthday? I would love to read your responses down below in the comments.

Have a beautiful and blessed day, y’all! God bless you all, and I will see you all next time!

Thank you, Lord, for another happy and blessed birthday! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

It’s the 4th of July

In America and a number of other countries–Australia and Ireland, just to name a couple–people are celebrating the 4th of July, also known as Independence Day. According to American history, the National holiday is celebrated as a tribute to the place we call home and the journey that our ancestors made to make our countries independent nations.

Many Americans are spending the Fourth by marching in parades, watching fireworks at the fair, having family cookouts, and hosting trivia games. However, me and my family just stayed home, cooked a hearty meal–mac and cheese, peas, chicken, and salmon–and had a peaceful day inside. That is, with the booming sound of fireworks in the background, close enough for us to peek at them through our window.

Me and my family aren’t big party-goers when it comes to days like New Year’s and Independence Day for multiple reasons. First, we are natural homebodies and prefer to stay home except for errands, occasional family outings and other special occasions. Secondly, with all the local shootings that have been happening in the United States lately–one of which just occurred in Chicago at a parade earlier today–we tend to rest in solidarity as a family, instead.

Celebrating our country is always a blessing from God, but we always have to remember to do so in a way that is safe, both for us and our families.

Our country still has a long way to go in the direction of fairness, equality, and humanity, but as time keeps ticking, we pray that we will continue to make progress little by little. I am grateful for this beautiful day that the Lord has made, and I hope that it is a step forward to making this world a better place than it was yesterday.

Happy Father’s Day ♡

On the third Sunday of June, people in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada celebrate Father’s Day. A day to show our appreciation for the fathers and father-like figures who are present in their lives.

A father’s job is to love, protect, discipline, empathize with, and provide open arms to his children. The men in our lives teach us strength, love, forgiveness, and friendship. And without our fathers’s love and guidance, many of us wouldn’t be who we are today. Today is a chance for us to thank our dads for every sacrifice that they made to give us the lives that they never had.

Today, I wrote an original poem named “Father of Mine” to celebrate this special day and thank fathers around the world. I hope you all love it as much as I did! ♡

You’ve been my rock, and kept me strong
Sacrificed a thousand times
You never left when I did wrong
It's hard to believe you're the father of mine

Ever since my birth
Our bond was set in stone
Your voice is a reminder
That I’ll never be alone

You’re not just my father
But you’re also my friend
Through thick and thin, both losses and wins
You’ve stayed true until the end

And even when you’re miles away
You’re still right by my side
The wisdom still resides in me
From my everlasting guide

I’ve wondered a thousand times
Does anyone have a father like mine?
But all I need to do
Is look at you
And I realize

You’re a one of a kind design

Once again, fathers are a blessing in our lives–both our earthly and Heavenly Father–and I thank God for not only His guidance, but for that of every single father that He has used to give us instruction, strength, and love. And I hope that everyone was able to show some love to their “father of mine” today.

Happy Father’s Day, and I will see you all next time! ♡

Observing Juneteenth: A Celebration of Freedom

Hello, beautiful people! I’m Q’Zion, and welcome or welcome back to my blog! ♡

As you all know, there are a bunch of holidays that many of us celebrate each year; Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, Valentine’s, and New Year’s are just a few examples. And while those are all great, there is one holiday in particular that was recently made a national holiday due to a bill signed by Joe Biden, coming into effect on June of 2021. That holiday is Juneteenth. And today, I’m going to tell you all what it’s all about.

What is Juneteenth?

In short, Juneteenth–a combination of the words “June” and “nineteenth”–is a holiday celebrating the freedom of the last African slaves in the United States on June 19, 1865, over two years after President Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation. Not only is it a mark of the end of slavery within our country, but also the freedom of African-Americans. This year, it just so happens to be shared with Father’s Day, which falls on the third Sunday of June.

Why should we celebrate it?

Even though Juneteenth is considered a national holiday, most Americans know little to nothing about it. This percentage includes some African-Americans, like myself. I believe Juneteenth is a holiday that should be observed and celebrated by American citizens of all nationalities and ethnic identities. Here are some reasons why.

1. We need to learn the good and bads of our nation’s history

While slavery was an unfourtunate element of the history of the United States, it is important that we know about what slaves went through before they were freed, their struggle to gain all of their natural rights, and the people who helped make African-American freedom a reality.

2. To help fight for equality

While Black Americans are now free from slavery, we are still constant victims of police brutality, discrimination due to the color of our skin or the way we dress our hair, higher chance of imprisonment, and higher employment rates. Our world has come a long way from its past, but racism is still a reality among some. Juneteenth gives us a chance to fight for equality for ALL human beings.

3. The freedom of slaves affects every American

As soon as the last African-American slaves were freed, it was a step forward to a more understanding, anti-racist, and fair country and world. Even after they gained their freedom, our black ancestors still struggled to gain all of their legal rights as American citizens. And many of us still struggle in today’s world. But with every peaceful protest, campaign, and usage of other personal platforms to spread awareness about Juneteenth, we can all work together to make our nation better than what it was decades ago.

Hopefully, this helped you all understand what Juneteenth is, as well as its importance. While the world isn’t perfect, we are making progress. And Juneteenth is a reminder that when we work together– in faith, perseverance, and love–there is no goal that our nation can’t achieve.

LET’S CHAT~Had you ever heard of Juneteenth before you read this post? If so, did you learn anything new about it today?

Thank you so much for joining me! I’ll see you next time! ♡

June 12 is a special day . . . here’s why

Anyone who reads my blog knows that I tend to use National (and Global) Days as inspiration. Not only do they address super interesting topics, but they are also amazing blog post ideas. Therefore, today I did my routinely check of June 12’s National Days, and there were so many interesting options that I didn’t know which one to choose.

Instead of making that utterly impossible decision, I decided to discuss three of the National Days for June 12 all in one blog post! I’ve got a lot of talking to do, so let’s just get this party started!

National Loving Day

Although we should love others and ourselves every day, National Loving Day is the perfect opportunity to put in an extra effort to help everyone around you feel loved. But to be more specific, this special holiday is catered to the celebration of interracial couples. The holiday was inspired by Mildred and Richard Loving (a black woman and white man) who got married in 1958. Less than 10 years later, they went to court in the case of Loving vs. Virginia, causing the Supreme Court to make it illegal for any state within the country to ban interracial marriages. This National Day is a reminder that love is a feeling that goes far beyond something as simple as race.

National Children’s Day

Honestly, being a kid is amazing. And although we can anticipate what it will be like to be adults, it’s important that we enjoy every single second of our childhood. National Children’s Day is not only a celebration of how children light up the world, but also to spread awareness about kids who have mental and physical illnesses. What I love about this National Day is that it gives kids a day of their own, and acknowledges that self care is an important practice regardless of how old you are.

Race Unity Day

Diversity in friendship circles in real life and the media is always heartwarming for me to see. I love seeing people of different races embrace each other’s differences–in fact, if there was more racial unity in this world, I think it would be a better place. Race Unity Day gives us an opportunity to educate ourselves on racism in our countries and world, how it has changed over the years, and what we can do to spread awareness for equal rights for all people regardless of their nationalities.

June 12 is a very special day due to its important meaning as it adresses diversity and the young people who make up over one fourth of the world’s population. I really enjoy looking at the National Day’s because they allow you to learn so much about what’s happening in the world, and the wonderful slices of life that deserve to be celebrated.

LET’S CHAT~Do you have a favorite National Day? If so, what is it?

Have a blessed day, y’all! See you laters! 💖

10 Father’s Day Gift Ideas for the Dad in Your Life

Many of us have a male role model in our lives who makes us laugh, remains present, provides for us, teaches us, and always has a listening ear: this my friends, is a father. There are so many dedicated dads out there that, just like their female counterparts, deserve to be celebrated.

Father’s Day is on June 19th . . . in other words, right around the corner. To show our dads how much we appreciate them, it’s time to start to think about what we should buy (or make) as their gift(s). To help you get started, here is a list filled with 10 thoughtful Father’s Day gift ideas for the father figure in your life.

1. Grill — A savory surprise for any dad who often cooks for those he loves is an upgraded grill. Think of it as a gift for your entire family; you’ll all get to enjoy the next family barbecue.

2. Deluxe Shaving Kit — Do you have a father who has been using cheap safety razers for as long as you can remember? Give your dad a cleaner look with a luxury kit that will allow him to shave in style.

3. Robot Vacuum — Stay-at home dads are on the rise these days. But just because some dads do the housework, doesn’t mean they like cleaning. A robot vacuum that sweeps the floors will serve as a very well deserved break.

4. Wallet — No one ever said that Father’s Day gifts had to be complicated. A leather wallet is an item that your dad can carry around during any outing; a constant reminder of your love and appreciation.

5. Slideshow Picture Presentation — A tear jerker of a Father’s Day gift is a video containing photos of you and your siblings with your dad, from the time you were babies up until now. In between, you could also show a sweet clip of you and each of your siblings sharing what you love about your father. This is a nice idea if you want to do something for your father that your entire family can enjoy.

6. A Book of Dad Jokes — Dads are the kings of corny dad jokes; they always know how to make us laugh, and maybe even embarrass us while doing it. In good fun, a book filled with a large supply of dad jokes are sure to put a smile on the face of any father who likes to make others laugh.

7. Wireless Charging Station — If your father works from home or in an office atmosphere, chances are he uses a lot of electronics. A portable charging station that doesn’t need a cord is a mess-free solution for charging his devices when he’s on the go or working at his desk.

8. Funny “Best Dad Ever” Mug — Maybe you have a father who drinks a cup of coffee every morning before work. A mug for the best dad ever–especially one that can make him laugh–will likely go to good use.

9. Cologne — Many men enjoy the feeling of smelling good, including fathers. A cologne with a fresh scent that fits your dad’s personality will be a good addition to his fragrance wardrobe.

10. Comfy Sneakers — Never have I met a dad who doesn’t appreciate a nice pair of sneakers. Shoes are a really nice way to add a versatile–yet comfortable–item to your father’s wardrobe. Perfect for every dedicated dad.

Fathers are truly a blessing from God; our Heavenly Father and the best dad there is. They are a huge influence in how we learn life lessons and how to be responsible, good people in this world. Here is a huge thank you to all the loving fathers out there who do everything they can to give their children the lives that they’ve never had. You are definitely appreciated!

Have a spectacular day or night everybody! Peace in! 💙

Happy Memorial Day 💙🇺🇸💙

On the last Monday of May every year, which is May 30th in 2022, people all across America are celebrating Memorial Day, when we honor the lives of American soldiers in the Navy, Army, Coast Guard, Air Force, and Marines for all the sacrifices they make every day, beginning in the moment they made the decision to serve our country.

Although my family doesn’t throw a huge party for this holiday—despite the fact that several family members of mine have served us–I firmly believe that Memorial Day is a holiday that deserves to be acknowledged; it gives us a chance to thank the people who leave their families for long periods of time to protect the people of the United States.

I’m quite sure that is a hard thing to do, especially being all the way across the world from home. Especially all while risking your life in wars, and sometimes loosing close friends in them. The nobility of every soldier deserves to be recognized.

Many families in America celebrate Memorial Day in a wide variety of ways. While some visit their loved ones at cemeteries, others join in at a local parade or have a family barbecue in celebration. I’m really curious, do you celebrate Memorial Day. If you observe the holiday, what do you do in order to celebrate?

I’m quite sure not all of you live in America, but it would be super cool if those of you who do have a family member who is or was an American soldier and celebrate Memorial Day would share how you observe the special day in the chat.

Once again, thank you to all American soldiers for your dedication and constant service to the people of our country. I pray that you have a peaceful, loving, happy, blessed day with those who you love, both today and many days to come. May God bless you all. ♡

Have a beautiful and blessed day everybody! See you next time! 💞🇺🇸💞
