On the last Monday of May every year, which is May 30th in 2022, people all across America are celebrating Memorial Day, when we honor the lives of American soldiers in the Navy, Army, Coast Guard, Air Force, and Marines for all the sacrifices they make every day, beginning in the moment they made the decision to serve our country.
Although my family doesn’t throw a huge party for this holiday—despite the fact that several family members of mine have served us–I firmly believe that Memorial Day is a holiday that deserves to be acknowledged; it gives us a chance to thank the people who leave their families for long periods of time to protect the people of the United States.
I’m quite sure that is a hard thing to do, especially being all the way across the world from home. Especially all while risking your life in wars, and sometimes loosing close friends in them. The nobility of every soldier deserves to be recognized.
Many families in America celebrate Memorial Day in a wide variety of ways. While some visit their loved ones at cemeteries, others join in at a local parade or have a family barbecue in celebration. I’m really curious, do you celebrate Memorial Day. If you observe the holiday, what do you do in order to celebrate?
I’m quite sure not all of you live in America, but it would be super cool if those of you who do have a family member who is or was an American soldier and celebrate Memorial Day would share how you observe the special day in the chat.
Once again, thank you to all American soldiers for your dedication and constant service to the people of our country. I pray that you have a peaceful, loving, happy, blessed day with those who you love, both today and many days to come. May God bless you all. ♡
Have a beautiful and blessed day everybody! See you next time! 💞🇺🇸💞

Anyone who is among the living has hope —even a live dog is better off than a dead lion!
Ecclesiastes 9:4 ~ New International Version (NIV)
Title: Hope Lives Rated: PG Director: Anthony Hackett Release Date: 2022 Runtime: 1hr 53 min Official Movie Description An inspiring drama that shows the triumphs and pains of a group of high school students who are victims of bullying, and how one man can make a difference.
This Mother’s Day, me and my grandmother (who is more like my mother) checked PureFlix–a Christian film streaming channel–to see if they had added any intriguing movies for us to watch. We stumbled upon Hope Lives, a new movie that was just recently released. Although I was a little unsure of what to expect from the movie, it easily became one of the best films that I’ve ever watched.
The protagonist–who is played by the wonderful director, Anthony Hackett–lost his daughter as a result of bullying, which was revealed in the opening scene of the film. Dramatic start, I know. But hey; it is a drama, after all.
While Mr. Ryan is heartbroken due to what happened, I admire how he uses his experience for good by volunteering to form a club with high school students to discuss ways to stop bullying. The fact that the movie went so in-depth into the topic –without being violent or derogatory–was super refreshing to witness.
Each of the students that Mr. Ryan counsels experiences bullying in a different form, but we really get to know each of their stories and struggles, making every main character likeable and relatable over a really short period of time.
It really stood out to me that every highlighted victim of bullying eventually learned how to stand up for themselves in a way that didn’t include violence or inappropriate language; I think that it shows the people of today’s world that while you shouldn’t sit there and allow people to mistreat you, it is more effective to stand up for yourself without punching back (neither verbally, nor physically).
As the club members begin to build friendships with one another, the film begins to dive into other important topics such as body image, self confidence, and showing yourself respect just as much as you would expect it from others. The acting feels real (another great element of the movie) and I think that makes the smallest of moments that much more powerful and memorable.
Hope Lives (2022) is the utter definition of an emotional roller coaster. While there were many wholesome, funny moments, I also found myself frozen in shock and nearly in tears, at some points. It’s honestly amazing how this film is extremely family friendly and fun to watch, yet there are a lot of powerful moments that will likely sit with any viewer, regardless of age.
Every moment that I spent watching this film was a moment well spent. I thank God for letting me watch it in full with Goodmommy on her special day.
My Overall Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (10 out of 10 stars)
Recommended Age: All Ages 10+
In closing, I would recommend this movie to absolutely ANYONE who is 10 years of age and older. It is powerful, inspirational, and a film that I believe everyone can get something special out of. This was a fantastic watch for both me and Goodmommy, and I would definitely watch it again, in the future.
Thank you so much for stopping at my corner of the Internet. God bless you all, and I will see you next time! Peace in! ✨

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you may have noticed that self esteem, especially among teenagers, is a common topic of mine. Ironically, I just found out that May is National Teen Self Esteem Month. The first thing I thought; I have to share this with my followers!
Our teenage years are a critical time in development, physically and emotionally. Along with that, teenagehood (childhood) is when we begin to figure out who we are and develop our self esteem and confidence. That being said, today I will be sharing some tips for every teenager (and adult) who is wondering how they can give their self esteem a bit of a boost. Let’s get this party started! ✨
Think positively about yourself. In order to increase self esteem, we need to put in some effort to see ourselves positively. When you look in the mirror, try to focus on what you like about yourself rather than what you wish you could change. Regardless of what other people say, always see yourself in a positive light.
Try a new hobby. You may wonder how this tip could be helpful for self esteem–let me explain. When we are able to gain a new talent, we develop the feeling that we are capable to gain new knowledge. And when we feel capable, we begin to feel more confident in ourselves and our abilities.
Keep a good support circle. The people who are always by your side to support you, through life’s ups and downs, are your support circle. This may be limited to 1-3 people. And if so, that’s okay. The size of your support circle isn’t important; it’s the people in your circle that matters most.
Don’t compare yourself to others. This is a big one, considering that the reason why many think so poorly of themselves is because they are constantly comparing themselves to other people. The media commonly makes the impression that we are “supposed” to look and act a certain way to fit in or be “beautiful.” But we always have to remember that beauty is more than just our outward appearance; beauty begins from within.
Be a cheerful giver. Another great way to boost self confidence is to do something nice for someone in your community. Some examples of this are doing some work in your neighbors’ yard, tutoring a student, or even volunteering for a local soup kitchen. Helping others is another way to help us feel as if we are doing something purposeful, and that we are capable of making positive differences in the lives of others.
I really enjoyed coming up with some tips to encourage growth in self esteem among teenagers, and I hope you were inspired by my words, as well. Remember that God made each of us unique and beautiful in our own, authentic way. We were not made to fit in. Instead, we were made to stand out. Today’s message: just be YOU.
Have a blessed day, everybody! God bless you all! ✨

After COVID-19 hit, I think more people started to recognize the importance of teachers. Monday, May 2 – Friday, May 6 is Teacher Appreciation Week, which gives us the opportunity to contribute to all of those who are teaching and/or have taught us throughout our years of education.
Teaching has got to be one of the most important jobs in the world. So, as a thank you to every dedicated teacher around the world, I will be sharing 5 of the qualities that I value in a teacher, from the point of view of a soon-to-be high school freshman. Let’s get started!
1. Dedication to teaching (and learning along the way)
I am a strong believer than anyone who works should be dedicated to their job. Teachers who truly want to see their students reach the best of their potential and do everything in their power to help every child have success deserve a solute. In addition, I love it when teachers can acknowledge that although they are educated, there are still things that they can learn along the way, whether that is technology or learning strategies; no matter how good we are at something, there is always room to grow.
2. Strong communication
Relationships in general need a good sense of communication to be beneficial for both people. I feel seen when I have a teacher who is willing to make sure that I truly understand the topics that we are reviewing. Knowing that you can approach your teacher when you need their help is a big relief, as it shows me that they care about my growth and success as their student.
3. Patience, with a love to teach
I understand that some students can be A LOT to handle at some points, especially those who have frequent visits to the principal’s office. That being said, a teacher who is able to “handle the heat” in a calm and professional manner is likely a really good educator. This trait really shows me that the teacher can think about the best way to handle a situation in a timely manner. Along with this, I feel as though a teacher who isn’t easily angered is also able to show their empathy and genuine wish for the well-being of their students, another great quality for a teacher to have.
4. Preparation
One of my largest pet peeves (when it comes to education) is when a teacher isn’t prepared. This probably has something to do with the fact that I’m an early bird, but my opinion still stands. Although I don’t think this is the ONLY good quality of a good teacher (by far), I appreciate when a teacher is organized, and keeps good time management. Although everything doesn’t always go as planned, the ability to stay on the schedule is a very admirable trait to have in an educator.
5. Fun, interactive classes
Last, but definitely not least, I STRONGLY value when a teacher has fun classes. Sure, watching a video presentation and taking some notes will get the job done, but the lessons where visuals, audio, and hands-on activities are combined tend to be the most effective (not to mention the most fun.) I think that if every teacher knew how to make their classes enjoyable, then many more kids and teenagers would enjoy learning. That’s why I give a tip of the hat to every teacher who makes sure they are reaching all types of learners.
Teachers are an extremely important part of our society. Think about it: our teachers are with us almost as much as we are with our parents or guardians. They take a huge part in raising children to be educated and responsible adults once they enter the real world. This is exactly why every good teacher in the world deserves the utmost gratitude. They are truly a blessing from the Lord.
Thanks to all of my dedicated, wonderful teachers (from the present and the past), who have taught me things to last a lifetime.
LET’S CHAT~ What 5 qualities do YOU value most in a teacher? Feel welcome to comment down below.
In all honesty, when it comes to every trait that makes a good teacher, I believe that I only scratched the surface, with this list. I can even think of a few other good qualities, at the top of my head. Oh, well. There’s always next year. (Hint, hint 😋✨😉)
Have a beautiful and blessed day, everybody! May God bless you all and I’ll “see” you next time!✨

Thank God for a beautiful Resurrection Day! Me and Goodmommy, as well as some of our family, had a great time during praise and worship at today’s church service, this morning. All though we were tired from waking up so early, it is always a blessing to be in the House of the Lord with other followers of Christ.
Despite the fact that we are sinners, and we have all fell short of God’s Glory, He sent His one and only son to come on Earth and pay for our sins with the ultimate sacrificial love.
Although I didn’t write the poem the I will be sharing today (which is instead from an online article) it summed up what was in my heart perfectly. I hope you all enjoy it! 💛
He was bruised and brought healing!
He was pierced and eased pain!
He was persecuted and brought freedom!
He was dead and brought life!
He reigns and brings Peace!
The world can’t understand him,
The armies can’t defeat Him,
The schools can’t explain Him, and
The leaders can’t ignore Him.
Herod couldn’t kill Him,
The Pharisees couldn’t confuse Him, and
The grave couldn’t hold Him!
Nero couldn’t crush Him,
Hitler couldn’t silence Him,
Other religions can’t replace Him, and
The world can’t explain Him away!
He is light, love, longevity, and Lord.
He is Goodness, Kindness, Gentleness, and God.
He is Holy, Righteous, mighty, powerful
He is Jesus, the Sweetest most powerful Name that I know, and I L💛VE Him!
Have a beautiful and blessed Easter Sunday, everybody!
Remember that God is love, and regardless of what we do, His love for us will never falter; this is what He showed us when the Son of God, Jesus Christ, died, rose, and lived again. Then, now, and forever. 💐

1 Corinthians 13:4-8NIV (New International Version) 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. …
If you’ve ever wondered what true love is, then this scripture sums it up completely. God is love, and He showed us how much He loves us when He sent His only Son to die for us and give us eternal life, so long as we confess with our mouth that He is God and believe in our hearts that He died for us and rose 3 days later. (Romans 10:9)
As followers of Jesus Christ, it is important that we continue to be evangelists for God by spreading His love. There are many different ways to spread God’s love to others. Whether you do something for a specific person, or a simple act towards a complete stranger, spreading the love of God is always a blessing that we should act upon in our everyday lives.
Here are a few simple ways to spread the Love of God:
Be proactive in loving like God — If you ever have trouble with this one, please write down the scripture at the top of this post. We are told to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. (Leviticus 19:18)
Do simple acts of kindness — The Love of God can be shown in many ways. Sometimes, all it takes is a little kindness.
Learn to forgive others — Forgiveness does not have to be for the other person. Nor does the person who hurt you have to remain in your life. When we forgive, we are making sure that we are right with God and that we maintain a spirit of love and a pure heart.
Be a cheerful giver — This one sort of speaks for itself. The Bible says that to be a cheerful giver, we must “sow bountifully” if we want to “receive bountifully.” In other words, we need to be willing to give freely and without hesitation in order for God to bless us abundantly. (2 Corinthians 9:6-7)
Pray for people — This can be tough, sometimes. Particularly when it comes to praying for your enemies. But the Bible says to love your neighbors and your enemies. (Matthew 5:43-48) Sometimes praying for people means asking God to help someone that you hold close to your heart (family, friends, etc.) Other times, it can mean that you are asking God to teach us how to forgive, and to help our enemies to see His glory.

Hey, y’all ~ how are you doing? Fantabulous, I hope!
Today, I wrote a post that will show you guys who I am outside of my blog and learn more “about the author.” I’ve been thinking about doing this for a while, and today is the perfect day to show you all a day in my life. Basically, this will be a review of how I spend my average weekday. Plus, a few updates on my life (my schooling, pet, art, etc.) along the way.
Considering that the idea for how this post would come together has been brewing in my mind for so long, I hope that you all enjoy experiencing a day in my life!
Let’s get this party started!!! ✨
8:30 AM ~ Time to Wake Up + Breakfast
Usually, it’s at about 8:30 in the morning when I wake up (thank God) to the sound of Goodmommy’s voice. This is the time that I’m getting ready (clean my bed, brush my teeth, etc.) to start my day. After I get ready for school, I come downstairs to eat breakfast. However, I don’t have to go anywhere, since I’m homeschooled, as most of you know.
And if you’re new, welcome! Hopefully that explains why I don’t wake up at around 6:30 in the morning LOL.
10:00 AM ~ Schoolwork
Now, it’s time for me to get some work done. My weekdays consist of approximately 7 hours of school time each, with an hour lunch break, in between. Every day, I tend to have these live classes in Zoom with my teachers and peers to go over the topics we will be learning in the week. And guess what, y’all~I’m maintaining all high A’s!!! YAYY!!!
Let me explain the fan LOL. So for my Science live classes, which are every Thursday, we pick a color that we all wear along with an accessory. We realized that we hadn’t worn brown yet, and I came up with the idea to bring some type of fan. It’s super fun to get all dressed up and interact with my classmates. Live classes are definitely one of the highlights of my school time.
2:00 PM ~ Lunch Break
This is pretty much straight to the point. Around this time, I’ll eat my lunch, browse the National Days for that day, and maybe even post something on Instagram if I have time. Today we ate some cabbage (with bacon bits) and some air-fried frozen fish fillets. It was delicious!
3:00 PM ~ More Schoolwork
After my break, I do a couple more hours of schoolwork to finish what I started. It consists of a lot of reading, typing, quizzes, and note-taking. This is the time where I feel very productive knowing that I was able to submit a lot of assignments.
I hope you enjoy my aesthetic note picture, LOL..
6:00 PM ~ Family Time
At this time, I usually go upstairs to see what Goodmommy’s doing in her office, have a snack, watch TV, read a book, and/or do something artistic to continue to polish my art skills.
Below is a drawing that I did yesterday of Camilo Madrigal from Encanto, since he’s one of my favorite characters from the movie, which I love, by the way. Especially for my first attempt to draw this character. P.S. I posted a video of how I did the drawing as well as a comparison from this frame in the movie on my Instagram account @princessqzion. I would really appreciate it if you checked it out!
All Rights Reserved. Rate my sketch from a 1-10. ✨
And of course, I have to say hello to my fish baby after I’m finished with my work. Peace, my betta fish, gets super excited whenever he sees me come up to the tank. It’s shocking that such a little fish can swim so fast~especially when he’s really happy. I got this gorgeous picture of him today. For some reason, I think he knows that I’m filming him; it’s almost like he poses for the camera.
8:00 PM ~ Blog Brainstorming
Eventually, it’s time to get back to my creative space and begin to brainstorm what my daily blog post will be. Sooo…today, I actually got this idea, a day in my life, really early, but the time that the idea pops into my head or spirit fluctuates. After all, no day is the same.
9:00 PM ~ Video Games + YouTube
After all my work for the day is done (school ✔️, blog post ✔️) then it’s time to have some fun! I usually browse YouTube videos and/or play Roblox on my iPad or Beat Saber on my Oculus Quest, too. This is my time that I might catch up on social media, too.
This is a video making slime based off of Cheetos. Fun Fact: I LOVE food-themed slime videos. You know when you used to absolutely love something…and one day you stopped liking it. And then, a year later, you love it again? That’s my relationship with slime videos in a nutshell.
10:30 PM ~ Dinner + Family Time
Afterwards, it is dinner time, family time, and the time where we rest before it’s time for bed. Me and Goodmommy, who is my grandmother and guardian will usually watch our favorite cooking and/or judge shows. On Fridays, we love to watch Moriah Elizabeth, a YouTube star who paints on almost anything imaginable.
This is the time where we really get to bond and check up on each other. Spending time with Goodmommy is one of the best parts of my day. P.S. Goodmommy works during the day and night, so that’s why we eat so late. ♡
12:30 ~ Bedtime
Finally, it’s time to get ready for bed. After another beautiful day, there’s nothing better than giving God thanks for a beautiful day and getting a good night’s rest.
Thank you so much for reading about my daily schedule. I hope you all continue to have a fabulous day and night! God bless you all!✨

There’s nothing like a nice, warm smile that can completely change the tone of someone’s day.
Smiling is a simple way to spread joy, sometimes without even knowing it. And it doesn’t require any money or commitment; you don’t even need to know a person to smile at them.
At times, it’s the simplest things that can make the biggest differences in how we live, act, and think. One smile can make someone else smile, and their smile can make another person smile. It’s a chain reaction spreads a positive result; a message of hope for the future. It doesn’t need to be big or fancy. It costs absolutely nothing in cash to brighten someone’s day with a grin.
Let me tell you a true story about a man who jumped from the Golden Gate Bridge. During investigations, officers found a note that said: “I’m going to walk to the bridge. If one person smiles at me, I will not jump.”
A smile can be all it takes to completely change someone’s life. And guess what, knowing that will make you feel good, too.
It never hurts to smile! In fact, here are just a few reasons why we should SMILE every day. ☺️
Smiling helps us stay positive — When we show off our pearly whites, it helps us to focus on the positive side of any situation. It’s tough to be sad when we have a smile on our face. It automatically decreases stress hormones and releases a chemical called endorphins to make us feel happier.
Smiling is contagious — One of the best parts of a smile is that it’s contagious–when we see a bright grin, we can’t help but replicate the smile on our own face.
Smiling is good for our hearts — Just like laughing, smiling is known to reduce our chances of contracting heart disease. It also helps us remain stress-free, which reduces the amount of strain on our bodies. Smiling is good for the soul, mind, and body.
Smiling is a friendly gesture — A smile is like a magnet; it attracts people to you. Not only does smiling help display our friendly personalities, but studies have shown that it also makes us look more attractive. It’s only natural to assume that someone has a nice personality when they’re smiling.
It costs absolutely nothing to smile — I think this one seriously speaks more for itself. Smiling is a free and kind thing to do. There’s no reason not to smile. If anything, it costs more not to smile than to do so. We have absolutely nothing to loose with a grin–it feels so good!
All in all, it really never hurts to smile. In fact, it does quite the opposite for us and those around us. Why stand by and wait for someone else to smile? Sure, smiles are small–but small things can be powerful.
Let’s be the ones to make a difference, today. Comment #smile in the chat to spread some love.
Have a beautiful and blessed day! Peace in! 💖

Hey, y’all! I hope you are having a wonderful day/night!
Before I start, I wanted to remind you all of my 75 follower special–answering your assumptions about me. So far, I still need more responses in order to do the follow-up post. Since we’ve already reached 74 followers (thank you so much ✨) I need you guys to comment 3-5 random assumptions about me–or guesses about me just based on how I look and/or by my personality–on my first announcement of the special. Please click HERE to comment your assumptions.
Thanks for reading that short reminder. Without further ado, let’s get into the good–or even better–stuff!
Me and Goodmommy had to pick up an online order from a craft store, and we always love to look around. While walking around the store, I saw a lot of really awesome new mediums. Being an art lover, it’s so exciting to see new possibilities for a new project displayed on the shelves.
After a little while of scanning, I was able to find this isle with some canvases. Some of them already had a black design, giving you the opportunity to paint in between the lines. The others were the canvases that I purchased; these gorgeous canvas blank panels.
I was honestly really shocked at how cheap these were. Just by feeling them through the packaging, you can tell that they are of very good quality. I got 5 in a pack for only $5 and some change. It was honestly a steal, and I’m thankful that I was able to catch them while they’re still in stock LOL. Me and Goodmommy agreed that it’s likely a good idea to get some more the next time we visit our favorite arts and crafts shop.
And what I really love about these canvases in particular is that on the back, they have easel stands that allow you to view your canvas upright rather than on a flat surface. It even has room for you to fill in your artist statement, which is great if I ever want to sell my paintings or simply display them in my room.
For the most part, the art that I do is in my sketchbook or paper, so I think these will be very useful for practicing different techniques on a more professional scale and material.
I know that for some, blank canvases may not be all that exciting. However, it’s the things that are blank that are a new beginning and a fresh start to something beautiful. To add your own personality and style on a project that has yet to be started.
And that’s the beautiful thing about art–it always starts with motivation, an idea, and a blank canvas.

For most of us students, spring break is in session! Spring is one of my favorite seasons of the year. Flowers are blooming, birds are chirping, and colors are peeking through every nook and cranny of nature. But, besides the fact that we’re glad that we get a break from school, it can be dawning to figure out some exciting things to do with our family and friends to truly enjoy it.
Hence, here are 8 bloomazing ways to make your spring break one to remember for a lifetime!
Go to a Festival/Amusement Park
Spring offers the perfect weather for walking around, riding on rollercoasters, and eating fried foods. These are only some of the reasons why spring break is the perfect opportunity to give your favorite amusement park, or even a festival (such as the Strawberry Festival) a visit. Theme parks and fairs will bring smiles to your whole family.
Plant a Tree or Start Gardening
One of the best parts about this time of year is the beauty of nature all around us. We shouldn’t take this opportunity lightly; why not start gardening or plant a tree in your backyard? Not only are you giving back to your environment, but gardening can be a great way to maintain mental wellness and bond with those who we love. It’s a win-win!
Read Something New
If you have a reading goal or you just want to read more, this is a perfect opportunity to read a book; whether its one that you have been working on or have been wanting to read for a while. Books are a great way to give yourself some entertainment and learn a positive life lesson in the process.
Take a Hike
One of the best parts of spring is getting in-tune with nature. Hikes allow us to get a breath of fresh air, learn about species of plants and animals, meet new people, get some exercise, and maybe even make a new hobby. Nature walks, camping, and hiking are all amazing for the spring due to the gorgeous scenery and opportunities to learn about nature. And the best part is hiking is an activity that you can do as a family–a great way to spend spring break!
Get Ahead in School
Yes, I know. I might have gotten a couple of eye roles at this one. However, if you are a virtual student like myself, it is likely that you are able to work “ahead of pace,” even during spring and winter break. While I completely understand if you wouldn’t like to do so, you will likely be grateful when you’re taking your summer break early.
Catch Up on Your Favorite Series
With over a week until school resumes, we have plenty of time on our hands. And one of the best ways to spend any long break as such is by catching up on your favorite TV show. We all have those time when we miss a couple of episodes due to our other responsibilities. And while we should still fulfill our duties of our homes even while we’re on break, there’s nothing wrong with a little binging when we get some free time.
Do Some Family Spring Cleaning
Sure, cleaning might not sound like anything “exciting” to do during spring break, but it can be enjoyable if you are creative. For example, you could create your own cleaning playlist, have pillow fights with your siblings, or play The floor is lava while you are dusting. And that’s just a few options. Believe it or not, just about anything that we do can be fun–all we have to do is open our minds to new ways to have a good time while getting the job done.
Drive Around Your Neighborhood
Although we may think that we know everything there is to know about our neighborhoods, why not put that to the test? On those days when you want to get out of the house with family, it can be fun to simply drive around. You may just find a craft store, get a tasty treat at an ice cream shop, or even meet some new people who you’ve never seen before. And you can always sing your favorite tunes or play “I spy” in the car with your fam while you look around. There’s nothing like a mini road-trip.
Hopefully, these tips will definitely be a guide for some fun ways to spend your spring break. I hope that you and your family have a great time together as you embrace the wonderful weather and the overall beauty of the spring season.
Question of the Day: What’s your favorite thing to do during spring break?
