Just Me . . . Having the Best Birthday Ever!!!

As I mentioned in my last post, a special day was right around the corner that I wanted to share with you guys. And that special day was (drumroll, please) my birthday! I know that I say this every year, but me and Goodmommy had such a blast, and I still can’t hush up about how hyped I am.

Even though birthdays come back every year, they’re a really big deal. It’s not just a day about you, but also a celebration of the beautiful and wonderful gift of life that God has blessed us with. Life has it’s ups and downs for everyone, but the fact that we are still breathing is a blessing within itself. In reality, every day is worth celebrating.

Sending time with Goodmommy is always a blast, and I want to share how we spent our special day with all of you, as well! Okay, enough of the chatter, now! My 2022 birthday post is a go!

Our first stop was probably one of my favorites out of the whole day; and it was only just beginning! We decided to stop at Claire’s to do something that we’ve been talking about for years–getting my second ear piercing! And considering that Claire’s has been known for piercing ears for decades—or 40 years, to be exact—we thought it would be a great place to get the job done.

I actually got my first ear piercing when I was a few months old, so I obviously don’t remember anything from that experience–though Goodmommy’s retelling of my baby-self’s reaction always makes me giggle. As a result, I never knew how it felt to get your ear’s pierced before my birthday, so I was naturally a little nervous. But considering that I handle shots so well, I knew that this was going to be a walk in the park.

Despite our original plan to get the silver cross, we decided to get a stainless-steel star after the reccomendation to get a smaller earring. And I immediately fell in love with the results–it’s small, sweet, and simple. I can’t thank Goodmommy enough for getting me my second piercing! In fact, I loved it so much that I may even get another one, in a few years.

Before we left our house, Goodmommy shared with me that she was contemplating taking me to a surprise destination for my birthday celebration, and I was over the moon to find out that it was Barnes and Nobles–my favorite bookstore.

If you’re a frequent visitor of my blog, you already know how I feel about books. And what I really appreciate about Barnes & Nobles is they’re variety–not only with the genres of their books, but with the types of items that they sell, too! As soon as I saw on a sign that the Young Readers’ section was upstairs, we took a ride on the escalator and searched around the entire second floor.

After a few minutes of searching, I finally found the section in question, and I couldn’t have been more excited by the shelves of novels that stood before me. I really love how this section in particular had literature that varied from pictures books to upper-middle grade, which makes it appropriate for a large range of ages.

We ended up purchasing three awesome novels–one of which was a graphic novel–for about ten bucks each. Another one of them was on my TBR (or to be read) list for this year, so I was super grateful for the opportunity to finally read it! Oh, and don’t worry, y’all; I’ll be posting all the book reviews for each one soon. ;))

So, I’m a firm believer that birthday’s don’t have to break the bank. But a simple piece of cake is always nice. And that’s why our next stop was no other than The Cheesecake Factory. Now, in case I’ve never mentioned this on my blog, cheesecake is one of my absolute favorite desserts, and we hadn’t had a slice for like, two years. So as anyone would assume, I was greatly anticipating eating a slice.

Me and Goodmommy are on a health journey, so it was a little shocking–to say the least–to see the amount of calories in a slice of each cheesecake. Seriously though, one slice is like half of the calories for the day! And although all of the options looked absolutely delicious, we both decided to stick with the classics–a slice of Cheesecake Factory’s original cheesecake.

After we saw the fact that it was a full house inside the restaurant, we decided to eat our delicious treats in the car. But I didn’t mind, at all; we had a close up view of the entire food court section of the mall!

To all of the cheesecake fans who don’t think they’d like the plain original, I’ve got to press the fact that The Cheesecake Factory knows what they’re doing. The piece of cheesecake had the perfect amount of sweetness, and the soft texture of the cream cheese melted in your mouth with the perfect serving of sour cream to eat with every bite. What can I say? If you’re looking for a tasteful—and delicious—dessert with fewer calories, the Classic is probably the way to go, in my opinion.

While that sweet surprise was absolutely delicious, we wanted to work off some of those calories. So we ended up making our last stop at Celebration Station, which is this amusement park full of rides (go-karts, water karts, roller coasters, etc.) and an arcade.

After entering the building, we decided to buy a couple hundred coins and explore the arcade. It was actually my first time ever visiting this place, so when I looked it up and saw the booming reviews, I was really anticipating exploring. And trust me, it didn’t disappoint!

What I find so captivating about arcades are all the bright lights. As someone who’s naturally attracted to colors, I got excited by seeing the games. There were so many games to play. And I have to admit that most of them are super addicting!

One of the first games that I played was a massive claw machine that was full of large bags of 5,000 tickets. I tried it about three times, and I got a good grip on all three tries. But as always, the grabber didn’t seem like it was strong enough. Boy, I would’ve really loved those tickets; just imagine the prices I could’ve won.

After about a half hour of exploring, we decided to check out the additional games located upstairs, and Goodmommy’s eyes lit up when she spotted two huge pool tables. She’s told me several times how she used to play pool years ago, but I never had the opportunity to play pool with her. That is, until my birthday.

At first, I was struggling with getting a good grip on the pool stick, but eventually I got the swing of it, and I was able to hit the balls. Practice makes improvement!

But honestly, seeing how happy it made Goodmommy to play a game of pool with me is what really made it all worthwhile. Just look at her!

Finally, here’s a quick selfie of me to get a closer look at my outfit. Goodmommy did such an awesome job on my hair, didn’t she? She really made me feel special on my special day, and I am forever grateful to her for that.

I have to admit that this birthday was genuinely the best that I’ve ever had. Sure, I say that every time my b-day arrives, but my 2022 celebration is going to be hard to beat. I thank God for letting me and my Goodmommy having such a blast! I hope we get to make many, many more blessed birthday memories together, for many, many, many, many, many more years to come!

What are some of your favorite that you’ve done on your birthday? I would love to read your responses down below in the comments.

Have a beautiful and blessed day, y’all! God bless you all, and I will see you all next time!

Thank you, Lord, for another happy and blessed birthday! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

My Role Model (and why we all need one) ♡

Almost everyone has (or has had) a role model during their formative years. Many adults will recall a person who they looked up to and helped them become the person they are to this day. Our role models are the people who help form us into responsible adults and help prepare us for the real world. That’s exactly why every kid and teenager needs a good role model in their life.

Now, some of you may wonder who my role models are. Although Jesus himself is the role model for all of us, and the generations who will follow, I believe that God always puts at least 1 person in our lives to be a second role model. For me, that person is Goodmommy, my grandmother and guardian who I love very dearly.

What I love about Goodmommy so much is that she is a Godly woman. Throughout her life, her joys and trials were God’s way of teaching her, not only so she can be knowledgeable, but also that she may pass on the wisdom that God has given her by instilling it in me. That is why I am so thankful to Him for placing this role model in my life: He knew exactly who I needed to be my example. 💖 Thank you, Jesus! 💖

Goodmommy is and will always be one of my best friends (right after Jesus and myself.) Not only do we do everything together, but she is always a joy to be around. There are very few instances that we are together without filling the room with laughter. No matter what, even with our very rare disagreements, we always come back together again, apologize, and continue in love. Every day is a day of love, joy, and laughter.

Role models can come in many forms. While some look up to their parents or grandparents, others may see an older sibling or a friend as their role model. Just keep in mind that even though we all have positive role models, there is a such thing as a negative role model, too. In everything, make sure that the people you surround yourself with are willing to invest in you to be the best person that you can be.

The people that will stay by your side (through your joys AND your trials) are people worth keeping around. Thank them for being your role models; we never know when our last chance to do so will be.

LET’S CHAT~Who is your role model? What’s an important lesson that you’ve learned from them?

Thank you so much for joining me today! God bless you all and I’ll “see” you next time! ✨

Happy Resurrection Day ♡

Thank God for a beautiful Resurrection Day! Me and Goodmommy, as well as some of our family, had a great time during praise and worship at today’s church service, this morning. All though we were tired from waking up so early, it is always a blessing to be in the House of the Lord with other followers of Christ.

Despite the fact that we are sinners, and we have all fell short of God’s Glory, He sent His one and only son to come on Earth and pay for our sins with the ultimate sacrificial love.

Although I didn’t write the poem the I will be sharing today (which is instead from an online article) it summed up what was in my heart perfectly. I hope you all enjoy it! 💛

He was bruised and brought healing!

He was pierced and eased pain!

He was persecuted and brought freedom!

He was dead and brought life!

He reigns and brings Peace!

The world can’t understand him,

The armies can’t defeat Him,

The schools can’t explain Him, and

The leaders can’t ignore Him.

Herod couldn’t kill Him,

The Pharisees couldn’t confuse Him, and

The grave couldn’t hold Him!

Nero couldn’t crush Him,

Hitler couldn’t silence Him,

Other religions can’t replace Him, and

The world can’t explain Him away!

He is light, love, longevity, and Lord.

He is Goodness, Kindness, Gentleness, and God.

He is Holy, Righteous, mighty, powerful

He is Jesus, the Sweetest most powerful Name that I know, and I L💛VE Him!

Have a beautiful and blessed Easter Sunday, everybody!

Remember that God is love, and regardless of what we do, His love for us will never falter; this is what He showed us when the Son of God, Jesus Christ, died, rose, and lived again. Then, now, and forever. 💐

5 Ways to Make the Most of This Easter Sunday

Hey, y’all–Happy Thursday! Good Friday is tomorrow, and Easter is literally just a few hops away. April 17th is when we celebrate the sacrifice that Jesus made for us when He died on the cross, rose 3 days later, and now lives to this day. Not to mention the cheerful colors, quality time with family, and delicious candy–especially the chocolate. 😋

Do you need some tips on how to make to make the most of this Easter? Well, you’ve come to the right place.

1. Attend a Church Service

Before you do anything Easter related, Jesus should come first, as what He did for us is the main reason why we celebrate this holiday in the first place. There’s no way to celebrate Easter like learning the Word of God and His declaration of love that will last forever more. Even if you can’t attend church physically, there are many services that will be streamed to allow you and your family to celebrate the reason for the season at home.

2. Customize Easter Eggs with Family

Come on, now–some of the best parts of holidays are the fun, classic traditions. And decorating Easter eggs is one example of many. What I love about Easter egg activities is that you can execute them in so many ways; a backyard Easter egg hunt, an egg decorating competition, Easter egg relay races. In other words, the possibilities are endless!

3. Bake a Festive Cake

Even if you aren’t the type of person who’s in the kitchen every week, Easter is the perfect opportunity to get your hands into a baked treat for your family. You can even crank up the fun by baking with some of your family members. Besides, when you bake a cake, you also get to make it look pretty…and then eat it with the ones you love. Family time and a slice of cake? Count me in!

4. Watch Movies to Celebrate the Reason for the Season

In order to understand the reason why we celebrate Easter, a good way to spend Easter Sunday could be to have a movie marathon of some faith-filled movies about Jesus’ life and resurrection. And some classic feel-good movies won’t hurt either. “The Star” “Hop” and “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” are just a few of many great options.

5. Send ‘Happy Easter!’ Cards

One of my favorite ways to celebrate any of the main holidays (New Year’s, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas) is to send cards to spread the love. A card with a message as simple as something like “Happy Easter” or “Thinking of you on Easter” can surely put a smile on someone’s face. You can even send the card virtually! A big part of Easter is spreading the love of God to others who are in our hearts and in our community. One card can certainly help our strive to do so!

I absolutely love Easter, so I thoroughly had fun with sharing some ways to make this Easter Sunday the best one yet. In all things, remember to be thankful for what Jesus did for us, spread God’s love, and have lots of fun, overall! Easter is a celebration that we can all pitch into. So let’s make the most of it!

Have a beautiful and blessed day, everybody! See you later! ✨

Old-Fashioned Apple Pie (my first free-verse poem) 🥧

To be honest, it’s been a minute since I’ve had any type of pie. At least that was the case until Goodmommy bought us an apple pie yesterday. And as you guys can see, it looked (and tastes) delicious! While we always make sure to keep plenty of snacks in the house, I will admit that the occasional pie (especially apple or sweet potato) is one of my favorite desserts.

If you haven’t been notified yet, April is considered National Poetry Month, so I see it as the perfect opportunity for me polish my poetic writing skills.

As some of you may have noticed, I usually write poetry with a specific rhyme scheme or order. This time, however, I am going to attempt writing a free-verse poem for the first time. It was a little tough to write a poem that does NOT rhyme; it’s kind of become a muscle memory.

But trying new things and getting outside of your comfort zone can be crucial to improving any skill. So I hope you all enjoy reading my poem!

A golden shell
flakes away
As warm, bright apples
dance along my tongue
Criss-crossed crust
Gaps every couple bites
Sweet mingles with succulent
In an old-fashioned
apple pie

In my mouth
the dessert takes flight
Like a butterfly that flutters with grace
Across the light blue sky
Every bite makes you want another
It’s hard to say goodbye
To the perfect treat to munch
On a friendly,
family Sunday brunch

And when the journeys over
You look down at your plate
And see nothing but humble crumbs

Well, the process of writing this work of art was a fun ride to say the least. It’s not often that I decide to write about food, so this was a challenge that I quite enjoyed. Learning how to write without having an assigned format is one way to step out the box, a little. And in my opinion, we all need that once in a while.

LET’S CHAT~Have you ever written a poem? If so, have you ever written free-verse?

Have a blessed day, everybody! God bless you all! 🥧

This is the Life | Go Out With Me #3

✨What’s up, y’all? I hope you are having a FANTASTIC day! ✨

Earlier this afternoon me and Goodmommy had a wonderful day out for errands, and just a little bit of shopping, too. Considering that we had such an amazing time, I want to share what we did, and what we got, with you all. So let’s get started!

The selfies that I take with Goodmommy are always some of my favorites. Having mother and daughter bonding time is always a blessing from God. Although we don’t go out super often, we always make the most of the time that we get to spend together. But honestly, we have lots of fun together with laughter, love, and peace no matter where we are! Thank you, Jesus!

Has anyone decorated their home for Easter, yet? It’s honestly hard to believe that Easter Sunday is next week. But time flies by when you’re having fun, and I definitely am. What I love about Easter decorations is that they’re so colorful. Pastel is one of my favorite color schemes, so Easter is the perfect time to make our homes a little brighter!

I saw a gorgeous body of water, so of course I had to take advantage of the scenery with a quick picture. I thank God for letting me get such a good shot! Nature is so beautiful, isn’t it?

What can I say? I love to take selfies! And you know I’m very creative. :))

Before we went home, we decided to stop at one of our favorite stores–Five Below. Ever since this store opened up, I’ve been OBSESSED! Literally everything in the store is $5 or less, which is incredibly affordable. And on top of that, the inventory is pretty long-lasting, too. Since we were on the right side of town already, it was the perfect opportunity to take a look around.

One of my favorite purchases was this “accessories organizer box.” I tend to have a lot of chargers, cables, and electronics in general, so having a box like this one to keep everything organized and in its designated place is a huge help: especially when we decide to go on a short vacation.

Since I decided to get a new organizer, Goodmommy asked if she could have my old one, and I was happy to agree. I had already customized the box with Sharpies. But you can probably tell that its been a while since I’ve done some touch-ups LOL. However, we thought of the idea for me to paint the box and make it custom made especially for Goodmommy. She already told me the design that she wants, so I’m excited to see how it looks in the end. Stay tuned to see for yourselves!

As I stated in my painting a ceramic decor series, I have been mixing my paints (particularly my acrylic paints) lately. However, I mostly do so on a paper plate, and while it has worked just fine up until now, it can get a little messy when the paints decide that they want to touch each other LOL. Hopefully, these 3 paint pallets will help solve that small problem. 🎨

And along with this set are these two plastic knives, which will be super useful if I ever want to go for a more abstract or textured look in any future projects.

Although I don’t really buy many “toys” at this stage of my life, I have always enjoyed miniature items that I can squeeze in my hands. For whatever reason, I find them so relaxing and fun to play with. Plus this gummy bear is super cute–and super squishy, too! It even stands up on its own if you put it on top of a flat surface.

And the last part of my purchase are these skin tone crayons. As soon as I saw these, I knew I just had get some of them: it’s so hard to find crayons that help me to draw people or characters’ skin without having to make it look like a strange shade of orange or way too pale. I’m quite sure the same goes for a majority of artists.

I had a ball writing this post for you guys–no different than any other day LOL. These go out with me posts are super rewarding: I get to make posts about one of my favorite things to do, which is to spend time with Goodmommy.

✨ Thanks for joining my corner of the Internet today, folks! God bless you all and I’ll see you next time! ✨

Selfies, milkshakes, and birds…lots of birds | Go Out With Me #2

What’s up, y’all? How is everybody doing today…Fantabulous? I’m so glad to hear that!

So, yesterday me and Goodmommy went out to complete some more errands, so I decided to make these ‘Go Out with Me’ posts a series since they’re a lot of fun. Anyway, I happened to see a lot of birds while we were out of the house, and I’m curious to find out exactly how many. In fact, I think I’m going to do a bird count throughout the entire post to see the exact number.

Get ready for some cute new selfies, milkshakes and plenty of bird photos sprinkled in between. Starting…right now. ♡

Bird Count: 1

So the first bird friend that caught my eye (on one of our first couple stops, in fact) was this one. It honestly surprised me that it was on top of bushes. I didn’t understand why until I saw it almost fall on it’s face to catch a lizard as a snack lol. I eventually Google searched a ‘white bird with a yellow head’ and figured out that this species is called the cattle egret. Cool, right? And the bird even looked at me to say ‘bye’ as we pulled out of the parking lot.

You guys already know that I had to take a few cute new selfies, so I might as well show a couple of them. I love my my nameplate is perfectly centered in these photos. It’s almost like my statement piece, and I try to show it in all of my selfies. My efforts definitely payed off!
And I’ve got to admit, these earrings are sparkling bright, today. I LOVE my diamonds and my hearts.

Bird Count: 10

On our next stop, I saw an entire flock of birds, which I count to be nine. At this point, I was a little surprised at how many feathered-friends I was seeing. Little did I know that I was in store of many more. Seriously though, this isn’t even half of the bird count.

Next up, my Goodmommy was super sweet to drive by Steak n’ Shake to get a milkshake. It has been YEARS since I’ve gotten any flavorexcept the classic strawberry, but today I was in the mood for something different. I ended up ordering chocolate, instead. This was one of those things that tasted super good just because I hadn’t had it in so long.

Bird Count: 32

This is where the number starts doubling…or in this case, tripling. When we went to a couple of grocery stores as our final stops, we saw this huge flock of birds on the roof of a clothing store.

Plus, I also saw a portrait of two birds in a building, as well as a black bird, which was what I believe to be a Common Grackle (which appears black, but has an almost iridescent blue and purple head and body), therefore, that adds obvious to the bird count.

FINAL Bird Count: 35

As you can see, we had a whole lot of fun yesterday. And we saw a lot of birds, too. I absolutely love animals, so I am thankful that God placed them in my path for me and Goodmommy to see and learn about. Birds are super beautiful to look at.

Thank you so much for reading, and I’ll see you all next time! ✨

When was the last time you told your family ‘I love you’?

In my home, we tell each other ‘I love you’ multiple times a day. In the morning when we wake up, throughout the day and before we go to sleep. And by family I don’t necessarily ONLY mean people that are blood related–I mean the people who love us, care about our well being, and are present in our lives.

We all have people who are constantly supporting us through it all, and those are the same people who deserve an ‘I love you’ for their contributions in our lives.

To be honest, I believe ‘I love you’ should be spoken as well as showed through actions. The words are extremely colorful in the sense that they can be said (or shown) in more ways than one. And these are some examples:

  • give them a hug
  • treat them to breakfast in bed (only if you are 16 or older and/or your parents allow you to cook unattended)
  • be patient and listen more
  • leave a motivational note
  • spend quality time
  • let someone else choose what movie to watch or game to play during family time
  • say ‘I love you’–that’s probably the simplest, of all of these ideas LOL

Showing our family that we care about them isn’t hard~all it takes is a simple ‘I love you’ and a few actions to show it, here and there. Out of all the people in the world, it’s those who love us the most who need to know that we appreciate them. Don’t forget; the next second, the next minute, the next hour, nor the next day on this Earth are promised for ANYONE.

Therefore, make the most of every day, and never let a day go by without telling your loved ones ‘I love you.’

Have a beautiful day, everybody! God blessed you all! ✨

We’re Business Owners ~ T-shirt Galore

What’s up, everybody? I have a question; have you ever wondered what it’s like to have your own business? There are a lot of small businesses in many communities, which probably includes yours. It’s National Mom and Pops Business Owners Day, and to celebrate I think it’s a great idea to talk about being an entrepreneur.

Although it can be a lot of work, being your own supervisor can be extremely rewarding in more ways than one. About a month ago, me and Goodmommy decided to start our own business in the textile industry. We customize t-shirts, cups or vases, cards, paper, and a variety of other mediums.

So far, it has been such an amazing experience to spend time with my Goodmommy and work with fashion and design. Not to mention that’s it’s good practice for when I open my own business, one day.

Today I’m going to show you guys some photos of the shirts (and other projects) that we’ve completed. Let’s get this party started! ✨

One of my favorite parts of the designing process is staging the t-shirts for a photo after we’ve finished making it. We often use clothes from our wardrobe to give our audience an idea of what they could wear to match with each shirt. The pictures end up looking so fashion-forward, in the end.

Goodmommy and I love to show off our shirts whenever we go out (and at home, too.) For the most part, we get plenty of compliments on the sweet sayings. But to be fair, who doesn’t like a good t-shirt? They’re simple, convenient, and they can make a statement–literally.

All of our shirts are inspirational or uplifting in some form. Many designs are pertaining to our faith, to encourage others who buy our shirts, as well as those who read them. Surrounding yourself with positivity, especially on your clothing, can be very helpful when you need some motivation.

I know, I know. I did say that we do other projects, too. While shirts and t-shirts are our main products, we have been practicing some other projects, too.

For example, here is a craft that we did earlier today. We designed these gorgeous paper flowers for the first time. Although it took a little while to assemble all three, they were super fun to make and great for decoration and other possible projects, in the future.

I hope you all enjoyed taking a look at some of the products that we’ve made to celebrate the many small business owners who try to spread positivity in their communities around the world. The best thing about having your own business is that it isn’t even “work.” When you create a company that you love, you are doing what you love, with the ones you love, every day.

If you are interested in any of our products at Royal T Custom Designs or you would like to see some more of our inventory, please visit our Instagram business page @ladytarilyn_jenkins. You must be 18 years or older to order, so if you are under 18, please order products ONLY with the permission of your parent or guardian. Thanks!

Have a beautiful and blessed day, y’all. See you next time! ✨

Happy Valentine’s Day! ❤️❣️❤️

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you all are having or have had a beautiful Valentine’s Day with your loved ones! Me and Goodmommy had a wonderful time bonding today, and we hope that you all got a chance to, as well.

Since me and Goodmommy did quite a bit, this Valentine’s Day (and we took a photoshoot. Nothing new there ;)) It’s because of this that I decided to write a wrap up of where we went, what we ate, and what we did to celebrate this holiday of love. Enjoy! ❤️

We actually didn’t eat any breakfast before we left, this morning. Therefore, the first thing we did is stopped by at a restaurant to eat some lunch, or “brunch” in our case. For our appetizer, we ordered some creamy soup with dumplings. Ooh, and breadsticks. We can’t forget the breadsticks!

P.S. we didn’t really like the soup that you see above, so actually got a different one, instead. It was chilly-flavored with some type of beef inside. That one was pretty good. Great for dunking my breadsticks in.

Then, for our main course, we both had some classic lasagna. Goodmommy ordered extra cheese on hers. The best part of the meal without a doubt! We both took the leftovers home for dinner. It was even better after it sat for a while. But leftovers always taste better when you get home. It’s logic.

You guys already know me and Goodmommy can’t go anywhere together without taking a photoshoot. Inside and outside the restaurant we took a couple breaks to take a few selfies. I wore my hair in an afro today. I must admit, it turned out pretty cute. And by the way, we were totally twinning with our cute jumpsuits!

Next off, we decided to go shopping for some gifts (for each other) and an outfit for a special meeting that I have tomorrow. I won’t give y’all any spoilers about what that meeting is, though.

I had a really great time looking around. Although I’m not an out-of-the-house girl, shopping is one of the few things that may just get me outside, once and a while. But, it’s honestly surprising that so many Valentine’s gifts and decor were still in stock.

And here’s another photo of me (inside of Burlington) because you know that I’m a selfie queen.

And after about 20 minutes of browsing, we finally found it! The shirt for tomorrows ✨special occasion ✨. As soon as Goodmommy took it off the rack so I could see it clearly, I knew that this top was absolutely PERFECT.

After a quick trip to the grocery store, we were back home. But the fun isn’t over, yet. Here are a couple of Goodmommy’s Valentine’s day gifts. She bought the tulips for herself, but I wanted to buy her something too. Turns out, in the very front of Burlington were these adorable portable pink mugs with message “Too Blessed to be Stressed” inscribed on top. And before you know it, I had bought, not one, but two of them; one for Goodmommy and one for me.

Of course, I knew I got a matching mug with Goodmommy (the one you see above) but I was very pleasantly surprised to see a giftbag and a heart-shaped box on my desk when we returned home and I started my schoolwork.

Inside the giftbag was the phone case that she bought for me at Burlington and an additional mug with the words “Happy Valentine’s Day” on top. It was actually a little ironic considering that I had already bought myself a mug. But hey, I’m not gonna complain. That just means I now have two new mugs, two hot chocolate mixes, and two new memories. We definitely won’t be having a mug shortage any time soon.

I also bought myself a 6 ft long charger for my phone and iPad. Not only because it’s convenient, but it’s hot pink, too! I took a picture of some of my items on my bed for an aesthetic touch.

Once I started doing my schoolwork, we had to do a paper art assignment using only black and white paper, so I came up with this. I absolutely love the design. It wasn’t what I was used to, but I’m very happy with the finished result. The color options really made the triangles stand out.

I hope you all enjoyed reading about how me and Goodmommy spent Valentine’s Day, and that you continue to have a day full of love, joy, peace, family, and happiness.

Have a beautiful, blessed and joyful day everyone! ❤️
