I did it once…and I did it again ♡

Every Easter, Goodmommy is kind enough to get me a gift. And this year, the present in question was one unlike never before. It is obvious that Goodmommy was paying attention to the fact that I had been getting much more involved in art lately, as she decided to buy a ceramic rainbow paint kit as my 2022 Easter present! Pretty cool, right?

With a little TLC and a few hours of painting, I was able to finish my decoration. Ever since, I’ve kept my rainbow in my room right beside the end of my bed. It serves as a constant reminder to me to dream big.

If you’d like to see the post in which I shared the process of completing this masterpiece, feel free click HERE.

As it turns out, Goodmommy ended up liking the gift that she bought for me more that I had expected. So much so that the next time she stopped by Michaels, she bought another kit for herself LOL. As soon as she asked if I could paint it for her, I was up to the challenge.

Now, what was a little different about this project is that Goodmommy didn’t want me to use any of the paints from the actual kit–aside from the silver glitter–so that she could display her rainbow in her room, like me. She narrowed down the colors to red, black and white. I was honestly really happy that she said that; it gave me a chance to do something different and unique.

And what do you know…the end results were gorgeous!

I honestly wasn’t expecting it, but I think I like Goodmommy’s rainbow just as much as mine. While I think the colors match her room much more, I love how the diamonds make the red look so luxurious. The design is super simplistic and minimalist, but at the end I think that’s what really made everything come together so nicely. And it makes me even happier that Goodmommy was elated with this masterpiece from her Goodbaby.

Thank you so much for your support! I’ll see you later, y’all! ✨

I got a gift for Easter…and I LOVE it!!! ♡

In my family, it is a tradition to get a gift basket (or other present) to celebrate Easter. And although it isn’t set in stone, Goodmommy is always so sweet to do something special for both of us to enjoy. Although I love spending Easter simply surrounded by family and friends while celebrating the Lord, I must admit that this was a really sweet surprise!

As soon as I saw this, I thought that it was so adorable. You can tell that Goodmommy truly knows me and my style–whenever we surprise one another with something, we are bound to love it.

This cute new kit comes with this HUGE ceramic rainbow that says “DREAM BIG” on top. I love to keep my room (and our house, in general) filled with positive and motivational messages, so that was a detail that I noticed and fell in love with immediately. There are a total of 6 small paint containers (although I must admit that it was a pretty good amount for the scale of the rainbow.) And to add some shiny finishing details are 4 gold stars and 29 diamond-like jewels.

Unlike most of these kits, I didn’t do many changes at all to the color scheme. All I did was tweak the pinks and the blue, and the rest was smooth sailing. Overall, the solid-color paints had amazing coverage. Although, considering that I did add some of my paints in the paint that came with the kit, I’m not sure how much I would’ve had left without them.

The glitter paint looks very translucent on the first coat, but with about 2 or 3 layers, the glitter actually sticks to the surface really well! This has got to be one of my favorite things that I’ve ever painted. The jewels make it feel so luxurious, too.

As you can see, my finished product looks almost exactly like the example on the box. Besides the color tweaks, I also switched the order of the colors of the rainbow and put the dark pink outside and the light pink on the top stripe instead of the other way around. Although they aren’t drastic differences, I think they were worth the extra effort.

Thank you all so much for going on this art journey with me! And never forget, the more you practice at anything that you want to achieve in life, the easier it will be and the more you’ll love it! As the rainbow says, “DREAM BIG!”

Have a beautiful and blessed day, everyone! Peace in! ✨

The Biblical Meaning of a Rainbow – Words of Wisdom #11

Psalm 145:13 New International Version (NIV)
13
...The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises
and faithful in all he does.

There is no doubt that rainbows are beautiful. Whenever I see a line of beautiful colors, it makes me feel happy to know that God put it within my eyes’ reach. As soon as I saw that it’s National Find a Rainbow Day, I knew that this would be the perfect topic to blog about.

And, speaking of rainbows, the question of the day is, what exactly is God saying to us when He places a rainbow for us to see? What message does a rainbow convey? Thankfully, the answer (just like the large majority of the questions that we may have in life) is found in the Holy Bible.

Genesis 9:13-16 New International Version (NIV)
13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, 15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. 16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.

As scripture confirms, the rainbow is a symbol representing God’s promise to us that He will never flood this Earth again to destroy life of all kind. In other words, He will not repeat the same scenario that occurred when He flooded the Earth and commanded Noah to make an ark to carry himself, his family and a male and female animal of every species.

The rainbow is evidence of how The Lord is a promise keeper, and He will do what He says He will do. It is one way that God shows us who He is and how much He loves us. Thank God that He is not like man, who will break a promise in a heartbeat. Let’s talk real, people: If God was like man, we wouldn’t be here.

That’s exactly why whenever I see a rainbow, I always say: Thank You, Jesus.

Have a beautiful and blessed day, everybody! See you next time! 🌈
