My Favorite Video Games ♡

You all know about mostly all my hobbies. Reading, writing, blogging, and art. But did you know that I’m also a gamer? Unless you were here during the early days of my blog, chances are this is news to you. It has been a long time since I’ve posted anything about gaming. But I’ve never really stopped my gaming habit behind the scenes. Today is National Video Game Day, and considering that video games are a part of my daily routine, I thought I’d show you guys the ones that I like the most out of my collection.

But before you all continue, I wanted to let you know that it’s also Gospel Day. I recently wrote a post where I discussed my go-to gospel songs on my playlist, so I would really appreciate it if you would check it out to celebrate the best music there is!

And without further ado, let’s get this party started! ♡

1. Beat Saber

Beat Saber is a game that I play on my virtual reality (VR) headset, the Oculus Quest 2, which I got on Christmas of 2020. This being one of the first games that I purchased, I fell in love with it almost immediately. In summary, this is a rhythm game where you are given two light sabers–one red and one blue–which you then use to slice blocks. The blocks move toward you in a pattern that correlates to the beat of different songs, some of which are instrumental and others being real songs by popular artists in the industry.

I really love how you can complete songs on higher modes–which consists of Easy, Medium, Hard, Expert, and Expert+–the more you practice. As of now, I can do just about every song on Expert and/or Expert+. Not only is this game super fun, but it’s also a great way to sharpen your reflexes and get an amazing workout!

If there’s any video game that I play the most often, then I’d have to pick Roblox. This popular online game–available on PC, Xbox, and mobile devices–allows you to create a free account and customize your Avatar. You can then choose from millions of games to play within seconds. I especially love roleplaying games like Royale High or Bloxburg, obstacle course games like Two Player Obby, story games like Camping, and simulators like My Pet Salon Tycoon. The experience is even better when you interact with other players around the globe.

Roblox is literally thousands of games built into one, and that’s what makes it one of the most popular games in the world.

3. Rec Room

Rec Room is another one of my VR games, and pretty much a newer and more updated verzion of Roblox. The more you play, the more you level up, 50 being the highest level attainable. Right now I am on level 32. One of the only differences compared to its online counterpart is that instead of having to buy money to purchase outfits, gamepasses, and other perks, Rec Room lets you earn coins as you play. Oh, and did I mention that it’s free?

As someone who’s ridden amusement park rides, worked with other players to complete several intergalactic, pirate, and enchanted quests, competed in a talent show, and won several games of “Catch the Flag” in this universe, I can confirm that definitely deserves the hype that it receives, and remains one of my favorite video games to this day.

4. Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse (2013)

This revamped version of the 1990 original is actually one that I played several years ago on my iPad, when the game was free on mobile app stores. And while that is not the case anymore—unfortunately—this game is still one of my all-time favorites. Me being a Disney girl, I absolutely loved the magical fantasy aspect of this game with iconic characters, interesting puzzles, eventful boss battles, and the story-telling scenes in the prologue and epilogue just before and after the actual gameplay.

More than anything, though, I appreciate that while being more than appropriate for gamers of all ages, it is far from easy, and requires patience to beat some levels. I think that makes it perfect for gamers who like a challenge. Under the age of 10, I became one of the many players to beat the game. I hope I get the opportunity to play it again, someday.

5. The Climb

Afraid of heights? Well, then you’ll either view The Climb as a great way to face your fear or just flat out terrifying. When it comes to this VR game, the title pretty much says it all. I really like how this game allows you to rock climb high above the ground without actually doing it in reality. The view once you get to the top of each level is so gorgeous and realistic-looking. With the amazing graphics, helpful checkpoints, and thrilling obstacle courses, The Climb is always a beautiful adventure that puts a smile on my face each time.

Overall, I really enjoyed sharing some of my favorite games with you all. Although I don’t talk about them often, video games are definitely a more part-time hobby of mine that I love. And my ultimate favorites are just a few of the games that I use to support my love for gaming. Hopefully, you all will get to check them out sometime, as well!

LET’S CHAT~Are you a gamer? If so, what is your favorite video game?

God bless each and every one of you, and have a beautiful rest of your day or night! Peace in! ♡

My Top 5 Favorite Roblox Games

Hey everyone! Welcome back to the Joys and Trials of a Christian Teen! Today, I wanted to start a new tradition called Funday Sunday! Every Sunday, I am going to post something super creative and fun, whether it be a list of funny jokes, some gaming platforms that I enjoy, or maybe even some of my favorite games! ✨

You know, gaming is one of my favorite activities. They can be a great way to stimulate your mind and enhance your creativity! However, it’s always a good thing to make sure that you aren’t gaming too much. Remember, too much of just about anything can turn into an addiction.

However, all seriousness aside, today I wanted to share with you guys My Top 5 Favorite Roblox games! If you don’t know what Roblox is, then I’d be glad to explain it to you! 😀

Roblox is free a game (available on mobile or PC) that allows you to build and customize your own character, play an endless amount of games, and befriend and chat with people all around the world! ✨

There are so many things that I like about this game;

1. Inappropriate words and phrases are censored, so it is very kid and/or teenager friendly.

2. There are billions of fun games to play, so it never gets boring.

3. The whole thing is FREE! Although, you can also buy Robux (which are also pretty cheap, between $1-10) to buy a wide variety of clothes, hairstyles, faces, etc.

The list goes on when it comes to the amazing world of Roblox! There are so many fun games to play! Although, there are a lot of games that I enjoy more then others, I wanted to share my Top 5 with you guys! ✨

So, are you ready? Let’s get started!

5. Wacky Wizards

One of my absolute favorite games to play in Roblox is Wacky Wizards! This fun game allows you two mix objects into a cauldron to make potions that can make you fly, turn into a giant, or even become a mermaid! You can also complete many fun quests by using your knowledge and memory on how to make the potions required! Overall, this game is really fun, especially if you like science or chemistry!

4. Tower of Hell

Are you looking for something challenging? Well, if so, then Tower of Hell is a great option! In this game, you have 8 minutes to ascend upon many obstacle courses. Your goal is to reach the top! Sounds simple enough, right? The twist is, this isn’t any Roblox obstacle course: if you fall or touch a glowing spot, then you have to start all over again. Although this game could cause you to rage quit rather quickly, it is great if you want to test your agility…and patience!

3. Epic Minigames

A very random but also very enjoyable game in Roblox is Epic Minigames! This game consists of many mini games, (such as Laser Tag, Desert Dehydration, and Capture the Flag), that you have to survive and/or win to get points! You can then use these survivals and points to level up and buy super fun toys to acquaint you on these adventures, as well! If you want games that keep you on your toes, but are also short and sweet, then Epic Minigames is definitely the right game for you!

2. Funky Friday

Do you like music? Well, Funky Friday contains lots of it! In this action-packed adventure, you get to go on a musical battle against other players around the world! Using your arrow keys, you have to press a pattern that coordinates with the song of your choice! With many songs, emotes, and customizations to choose from, Funky Friday is definitely an awesome way to improve your coordination and reflexes, while listening to some catchy music, in the process!

1. TTD3

Last, but not least, is my absolute favorite (or at least one of my favorite) Roblox games right now: TTD3! In this game, you get to do many different dances, which are accompanied by popular songs of today! The more you dance, the higher your level! You can even buy props with coins that you get from leveling up! But don’t worry parents, all curse words are silenced, so the game is kid friendly! Overall, this game is another amazing dancing and musical adventure!
