I Finally Got a Rainbow Loom!!! ♡

Hey, everybody! Thank you so much for stopping by on this wonderful day that God has made!

During my quick review post of everything that I’ve done during the first half of my summer break, I mentioned that I went to Micheals to get some more supplies to continue making my creations on my Wonder Loom. And I was expecting to purchase a few packs of rubber bands, as usual. But I ended up finding an entire storage case with 8 different colors of rubber bands.

I have a habit of buying more supplies before I even run out with what I have. And I think it’s mostly due to the fact that I never want to get into a place where I can’t make anything else until the next time I go out of the house. Perfectionist alert lol. So having a case in which I can store some of my extra bands will be a big help.

But the thing is, while having extra storage was definitely a bonus and a part of the reason why I bought this set in particular, it’s not the main reason why. The best part is that this kit also included my first ever Rainbow Loom!

Out of all the years in which I’ve loomed–starting in preschool–I’ve never had a Rainbow Loom to call my own. Instead, I’ve been using the cheaper option, also known as the Wonder Loom. And while it gets the job done when I’m making my creations, the Rainbow Loom allows you to deconstruct the shape and placing of the pegs. Therefore it greatly expands the type of creations that you can make.

The fact that the Rainbow Loom is so flexible when it comes to setting it up–not to mention being sturdy to the touch–is one of the reasons why it’s been the loom that I’ve wanted from my early looming days. Thank God, the time is finally here!

The entire kit also included this short instructions manual showing you how to make a single chain bracelet. Considering that creating simple jewelry like this is the best way to start looming, this kit is really good for people who are just starting to learn how to loom. Alongside the manual are these adorable gift bags in which you can put one of your creations to give to a friend or family member as a present. Those will probably come in handy, in the future!

Here is the overview of all the beautiful bands that come in this kit. A few of them come in colors that I’d never used before, so that was really exciting to see. A colorful array of beads were also included, some of them just plain and circular, and others square with letters imprinted on the front. Bracelets are some of my favorite things to make while I loom, so these gorgeous decorations should definitely help spruce them up a bit!

Hopefully, you all enjoyed seeing my new Rainbow Loom and bands. I’ve already made about 5 new designs on it, so far, and I’m already loving the upgrade lol. I also posted an unboxing review on my YouTube Channel where I shared what I liked about the set and some of my takeaways. If you would like to take a look at that you can click HERE to take a look at that amazing video!

Otherwise, thank you all so much for reading! God bless you all, and I will see you next time! Peace in! ♡

A landscape painting in honor of spring… ♡

Happy Saturday, everybody! I hope you are all having a beautiful day or night!

Although there are a lot of things that I love about weekends, one of those things happens to be that they give me plenty of time to focus on my hobbies. With no live classes to attend or studying to do, the weekends give me time to simply indulge in visual art, photography, reading, and simply relaxing.

Today, I wanted to take advantage of my free time and make a landscape painting in honor of the beautiful season of spring, and it honestly turned out even better than I was envisioning! As always, I had to show you guys my work of art and the steps that I took to make it. Enjoy, everybody!

First of all, I want to say that I used most of the colors provided in my acrylic paint set for this project. I was expecting to use no more than 10, but I ended up using about two times that. To be fair, a lot of mixing came in to play to get the exact hues that I wanted. However, I really like to experiment by mixing my paints, so this was a really fun process.

The first thing I did to start my painting was paint the sky. I wanted it to have a little bit of an ombre vibe (meaning that the colors progressed from dark to light) throughout the background. The sky starts off as a sky blue, and then transitions into a coral. Underneath that, I added little humps to resemble mountians, yellow for a corn field, and a solid green for grass.

Although I added some finishing touches to the background before adding all of the greenery to the painting, I think it looks pretty great!

After using some more paint to make the colors a little more solid, I decided to add a couple pine trees in the far background, as well as a tree on the right, which serves as a focal point for the entire painting. I also wanted to incorporate the classic spring colors with some flowers, which I painted in an abstract style. I really think that decision added to the simple yet really magical design of the painting.

When I finished adding the finishing touches, I was super happy with what I saw: an absolute masterpiece!

“Spring is Blooming” by Princess Q’Zion on May 14th, 2022. All Rights Reserved.

Painting this creation was a really fun challenge. A lot of thought went into how I could make this painting really come alive to tell the story of spring, and I really enjoyed that. Every piece of art that I make has a vision behind it, and I thank God that I was able to turn this blank canvas into something that exceeded my expectations.

LET’S CHAT~Have you ever painted a landscape? If you have, did you enjoy it?

Have a beautiful and blessed day everybody! God bless you all! ✨

Movie Review: Hope Lives (2022)

Anyone who is among the living has hope —even a live dog is better off than a dead lion!

Ecclesiastes 9:4 ~ New International Version (NIV)
Title: Hope Lives
Rated: PG
Director: Anthony Hackett
Release Date: 2022
Runtime: 1hr 53 min
Official Movie Description
An inspiring drama that shows the triumphs and pains of a group of high school students who are victims of bullying, and how one man can make a difference.

This Mother’s Day, me and my grandmother (who is more like my mother) checked PureFlix–a Christian film streaming channel–to see if they had added any intriguing movies for us to watch. We stumbled upon Hope Lives, a new movie that was just recently released. Although I was a little unsure of what to expect from the movie, it easily became one of the best films that I’ve ever watched.

The protagonist–who is played by the wonderful director, Anthony Hackett–lost his daughter as a result of bullying, which was revealed in the opening scene of the film. Dramatic start, I know. But hey; it is a drama, after all.

While Mr. Ryan is heartbroken due to what happened, I admire how he uses his experience for good by volunteering to form a club with high school students to discuss ways to stop bullying. The fact that the movie went so in-depth into the topic –without being violent or derogatory–was super refreshing to witness.

Each of the students that Mr. Ryan counsels experiences bullying in a different form, but we really get to know each of their stories and struggles, making every main character likeable and relatable over a really short period of time.

It really stood out to me that every highlighted victim of bullying eventually learned how to stand up for themselves in a way that didn’t include violence or inappropriate language; I think that it shows the people of today’s world that while you shouldn’t sit there and allow people to mistreat you, it is more effective to stand up for yourself without punching back (neither verbally, nor physically).

As the club members begin to build friendships with one another, the film begins to dive into other important topics such as body image, self confidence, and showing yourself respect just as much as you would expect it from others. The acting feels real (another great element of the movie) and I think that makes the smallest of moments that much more powerful and memorable.

Hope Lives (2022) is the utter definition of an emotional roller coaster. While there were many wholesome, funny moments, I also found myself frozen in shock and nearly in tears, at some points. It’s honestly amazing how this film is extremely family friendly and fun to watch, yet there are a lot of powerful moments that will likely sit with any viewer, regardless of age.

Every moment that I spent watching this film was a moment well spent. I thank God for letting me watch it in full with Goodmommy on her special day.

My Overall Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (10 out of 10 stars)

Recommended Age: All Ages 10+

In closing, I would recommend this movie to absolutely ANYONE who is 10 years of age and older. It is powerful, inspirational, and a film that I believe everyone can get something special out of. This was a fantastic watch for both me and Goodmommy, and I would definitely watch it again, in the future.

Thank you so much for stopping at my corner of the Internet. God bless you all, and I will see you next time! Peace in! ✨

Does anybody remember these … ?

This afternoon, I was doing nothing but watching TV, eating a snack, and talking to my Goodmommy and betta fish. Considering that I had no school work to do–aside from short study sessions for my up-and-coming up FSA tests–I decided to do something productive with a simple art project. And I already had an idea for what I wanted to make: an origami chatterbox.

Now, for those of you who are unaware of what a chatterbox actually is, I will explain: it’s a really fun game that you make out of folded paper. In the folds, you create little messages under different tabs, which range from number 1-8. Although chatterbox is my preferred name, they are also dubbed as fortune tellers, cootie catchers, whirlybirds, and more.

When I attended in-person public school from kindergarten to third grade, I used to see kids making these ALL THE TIME. I always found them super fascinating to look at, but I never learned how to make one–at least, if I did learn, I don’t recall LOL. That being said, today seemed like the perfect opportunity to make a few paper chatterboxes of my own. After a quick search through Google, I was able to find a simple tutorial on YouTube, and I got right to work!

Even though it took me two attempts to actually get the instructions, once I was able to complete one, I was on a roll. Chatterboxes are extremely fun to make considering that the instructions are simple, and they don’t require a large load of supplies. All that I used to make one was a piece of paper, Posca paint pens in four colors, and a pen.

My favorite part of the whole process is probably the decoration aspect. Either that, or adding quirky messages to each of the tabs. Adding the color to the game brings it all together, and makes it look more interesting compared to a bare piece of folded paper.

Each one of my 3 products has a different design. One has dots with inspirational messages, the second has flowers with icebreaker questions, and the third one has an 8 Ball design with short answers to simple questions that the player can ask.

It was a lot of fun to find a way to make each chatterbox unique in its own way–the more comfortable I got with making these, the more details I put into each one that I made.

This is a project that allowed me to incorporate a lot of creativity without being to demanding. Plus, it serves as a great game that I can play with my family and friends when we have some spare time on our hands. In the end, all three of my chatterboxes look super cute: I might even make a few more, after awhile.

Although I didn’t know what to expect before I started this art project, I must say that now I am a little obsessed LOL. Maybe it’s because I’m that type of person who really likes to fidget with things–I almost always have to be touching something. That’s why little trinkets like this are super satisfying to me. Not to mention the fact that they’re super fun to make!

Depending on the response that I get on this post, I may even make some more for you all, in the future.

LET’S CHAT~Have you ever heard of or seen a chatterbox? And if you have, have you ever made one?

Have a beautiful, blossoming, and blessed day, everybody! May God bless you all, and I’ll see you next time! ✨

Prayer is a Powerful Weapon – Words of Wisdom #14

What is prayer? And furthermore, how do you pray?

Prayer is a huge part of Christianity. And if you’re anything like me, you pray every single day, multiple times a day. Chances are, you’ve heard the word prayer several times in your life. But have you ever really learned what the true definition of prayer actually is?

For this addition of Words of Wisdom, in celebration of the National Day of Prayer (May 5th), I will be sharing why prayer is so much more than bowing your head and putting your hands together. Prayer is having a conversation with God; it is a resource, a weapon that God has equipped us with. But it’s up to us to use it. Let’s get started! 🙏

How Do You Pray?

Matthew 6:9-13
"This, then, is how you should pray: “ ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’

The reason why I feel like this scripture is important is because it explains exactly how we need to pray, even in today’s time. Here is a breakdown of what this scripture reveals about the power of prayer.

  • “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,” — first of all, it is important that we acknowledge that we are talking to the Lord. In this way we are giving our conversation with Him our undivided attention. Prayer is our spiritual and intimate time with God. Therefore, we need to remember to stay focused on Him, when we do pray.
  • “your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” — this is how we say, “let God’s will be done,” as we are admitting that God’s way is the best and only way.
  • “Give us today our daily bread.” — a huge part of prayer is to ask God to bless us. If we have the desire for something, we need to humble ourselves and request it of our Heavenly Father. He already knows what we need. But He also wants us to come to Him so that He may meet those needs. Never forget that while we can give out requests, we should also thank God for what He has and is blessing us with.
  • “And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.” — in prayer, we must be sure to ask God for forgiveness of our sins. And in order to gain God’s forgiveness, we need to forgive others that have sinned against us. In order to be forgiven, we must forgive. (Matthew 6:14-15)
  • “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.” — prayer is a weapon because it is a way for us to protect ourselves against the temptations and attacks of the enemy. As we ask God for Him to deliver us, we can be released from the attempts of the enemy to distract us from the Lord and all that He has in store for us.

What are the Benefits of Prayer?

Although I already talked about some of the reasons why prayer is powerful, I would like to wrap up these Words of Wisdom with just a few of the endless benefits of prayer.

  • Prayer helps strengthen and further develop our relationship with God.
  • Prayer gives us the answers that we need.
  • Prayer helps us resist giving into temptation.
  • Prayer can ignite miracles.
  • Prayer gives us inner peace.
  • Prayer allows us to lift up other believers, and whoever God puts on our hearts and minds.

If you get nothing else from today’s post, just remember this: we are able to talk to God 24/7. He is never too busy, and He is always anticipating our call. He has given us a gift to be able to access Him in all times of need. And we must admit that even if He doesn’t answer in the way we expected He will always answer. God is good like that.

So never take the power of prayer for granted; because prayer is a powerful weapon.

God bless you all! I’ll see you next time! ✨

Updating my Calendar #1 | May 2022

To the left of my wooden desk–which I primarily use to complete my schoolwork and art activities–is my huge, dry-erase calendar. We’ve had it for approximately three years now, and I find it really helpful to have the ability to change it each month and customize it to my liking.

Today, I had plenty of free time on my hands, so I decided to update my calendar for the new month of May 2022.

After a thorough wipe-down with wet paper towels and a tap of dish soap, I was able to get all of the dry-erase marker off of my calendar to start afresh. Then, I wrote the word ‘May’ in the upper left corner, followed by the scripture of the month, Hebrews 13:8.

Afterwards, I did the usual procedure of numbering each day of the month and filling in all of my daily live lessons, club meetings, and FSA tests for the end of the school year. Logging all of my appointments on my calendar is actually kind of fun for me, considering that I’m a type-A person.

In the “Notes” section, I like to provide some type of inspiring and/or uplifting quote. I feel strongly that in order to have a peaceful home, we have to keep positive messages throughout. Today, I decided to add “Treat every moment as if it’s your last,” which happens to be a message that I hold very close to my heart.

Not only is it a reminder for me, Goodmommy, and our household, but also to you all; cherish every moment that you have on this Earth as if it’s your very last breath.

After about an hour or so of updating my calendar, my job (for the next 29 days) was done. I really love how I used every color to make the whole thing look vibrant and fun to look at. Everything came together so nicely, and I am more than happy with the outcome!

Overall, I’m happy to have my calendar completely up to date. This was very much so time well spent!

Thank you all so much for joining me, today! God bless you all! 💖✨💖

Happy Resurrection Day ♡

Thank God for a beautiful Resurrection Day! Me and Goodmommy, as well as some of our family, had a great time during praise and worship at today’s church service, this morning. All though we were tired from waking up so early, it is always a blessing to be in the House of the Lord with other followers of Christ.

Despite the fact that we are sinners, and we have all fell short of God’s Glory, He sent His one and only son to come on Earth and pay for our sins with the ultimate sacrificial love.

Although I didn’t write the poem the I will be sharing today (which is instead from an online article) it summed up what was in my heart perfectly. I hope you all enjoy it! 💛

He was bruised and brought healing!

He was pierced and eased pain!

He was persecuted and brought freedom!

He was dead and brought life!

He reigns and brings Peace!

The world can’t understand him,

The armies can’t defeat Him,

The schools can’t explain Him, and

The leaders can’t ignore Him.

Herod couldn’t kill Him,

The Pharisees couldn’t confuse Him, and

The grave couldn’t hold Him!

Nero couldn’t crush Him,

Hitler couldn’t silence Him,

Other religions can’t replace Him, and

The world can’t explain Him away!

He is light, love, longevity, and Lord.

He is Goodness, Kindness, Gentleness, and God.

He is Holy, Righteous, mighty, powerful

He is Jesus, the Sweetest most powerful Name that I know, and I L💛VE Him!

Have a beautiful and blessed Easter Sunday, everybody!

Remember that God is love, and regardless of what we do, His love for us will never falter; this is what He showed us when the Son of God, Jesus Christ, died, rose, and lived again. Then, now, and forever. 💐

Whom Shall I Fear? | A Christian Poem ~ Reblog

Hey, everyone! In honor of Good Friday–a day of remembrance and appreciation for what Jesus did for us–I will be reblogging a poem about the Prince of Peace today. The title that popped in my spirit was Whom Shall I Fear. It’s a poem based on Psalm 27:1, about how with Jesus, everything and anything is possible.

I hope that this poem will inspire you mightily. Enjoy!

Whom shall I fear?

When You are the Lord of lords, and the King of kings

You are good and Your mercy endures

As your many angels sing

Whom shall I be afraid?

When You are my stronghold and my refuge

You’re always by my side

And I can’t deny that you always pick me up, at the oh-so-perfect time

Why shall I be wary?

When You are a promise keeper; You speak truth with your words

No love of any kind compares

To how Christ loves the church

Who am I to You, my Heavenly Father?

I’m the apple of your eye

A branch of the vine

You set me free and made me Your daughter

Who can come against me?

When You have won this battle

Before any hand can touch me

No matter where I travel

So, whom shall I fear?

When You are the leader of the world

The many boys and girls

And pure white pearls

Thank You, Jesus

I know this to be true

Because of who You are, there’s nothing to fear

Hence, my godly fear for You

- Whom Shall I Fear, Written by Princess Q’Zion on March 21, 2022. All Rights Reserved.

Overall, I had a lot of fun writing this poem. What I love about poetry is how you can use words to paint a picture. It’s almost like a painting, but you decorate the canvas with your words instead of art supplies. Plus, any creative platform that allows me to talk about the goodness of God is one that I favor.

Thank you so much for reading! Have a beautiful day, and God bless you all!

When was the last time you told your family ‘I love you’?

In my home, we tell each other ‘I love you’ multiple times a day. In the morning when we wake up, throughout the day and before we go to sleep. And by family I don’t necessarily ONLY mean people that are blood related–I mean the people who love us, care about our well being, and are present in our lives.

We all have people who are constantly supporting us through it all, and those are the same people who deserve an ‘I love you’ for their contributions in our lives.

To be honest, I believe ‘I love you’ should be spoken as well as showed through actions. The words are extremely colorful in the sense that they can be said (or shown) in more ways than one. And these are some examples:

  • give them a hug
  • treat them to breakfast in bed (only if you are 16 or older and/or your parents allow you to cook unattended)
  • be patient and listen more
  • leave a motivational note
  • spend quality time
  • let someone else choose what movie to watch or game to play during family time
  • say ‘I love you’–that’s probably the simplest, of all of these ideas LOL

Showing our family that we care about them isn’t hard~all it takes is a simple ‘I love you’ and a few actions to show it, here and there. Out of all the people in the world, it’s those who love us the most who need to know that we appreciate them. Don’t forget; the next second, the next minute, the next hour, nor the next day on this Earth are promised for ANYONE.

Therefore, make the most of every day, and never let a day go by without telling your loved ones ‘I love you.’

Have a beautiful day, everybody! God blessed you all! ✨

Wherever You Go, Sprinkle Love – Words of Wisdom #10

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NIV (New International Version)
4
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8 Love never fails. …

If you’ve ever wondered what true love is, then this scripture sums it up completely. God is love, and He showed us how much He loves us when He sent His only Son to die for us and give us eternal life, so long as we confess with our mouth that He is God and believe in our hearts that He died for us and rose 3 days later. (Romans 10:9)

As followers of Jesus Christ, it is important that we continue to be evangelists for God by spreading His love. There are many different ways to spread God’s love to others. Whether you do something for a specific person, or a simple act towards a complete stranger, spreading the love of God is always a blessing that we should act upon in our everyday lives.

Here are a few simple ways to spread the Love of God:

  • Be proactive in loving like God — If you ever have trouble with this one, please write down the scripture at the top of this post. We are told to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. (Leviticus 19:18)
  • Do simple acts of kindness — The Love of God can be shown in many ways. Sometimes, all it takes is a little kindness.
  • Learn to forgive others — Forgiveness does not have to be for the other person. Nor does the person who hurt you have to remain in your life. When we forgive, we are making sure that we are right with God and that we maintain a spirit of love and a pure heart.
  • Be a cheerful giver — This one sort of speaks for itself. The Bible says that to be a cheerful giver, we must “sow bountifully” if we want to “receive bountifully.” In other words, we need to be willing to give freely and without hesitation in order for God to bless us abundantly. (2 Corinthians 9:6-7)
  • Pray for people — This can be tough, sometimes. Particularly when it comes to praying for your enemies. But the Bible says to love your neighbors and your enemies. (Matthew 5:43-48) Sometimes praying for people means asking God to help someone that you hold close to your heart (family, friends, etc.) Other times, it can mean that you are asking God to teach us how to forgive, and to help our enemies to see His glory.
